Drowning in my saltwater tears
Poison shooting through my veins
Iron hands crushing my heart
Pins and daggers piercing my heart
Lungs struggling-suffocating
Fistfuls of hair torn from my scalp
Steak knives tearing at my wrists
Crimson kisses staining my sleeves
Bassoons moaning, saxes wailing,
Piccolos screeching, timpani pounding
In my eardrums.
But the cacophony stops abruptly
A lonely oboe cries out in deep despair-
Her tears flow free with my own.
