Why?

Where were you?

I needed you.

A missing umbrella,

Left me exposed.

The safety it provided.

Keeping me dry.

My tears mix with the rain

Hard to tell I'm crying

My sobs, drowned out

By the roaring thunder

So many times,

Too many times.

You've left me alone,

Out in the rain.

In my life,

There are no umbrella's

To keep me sheltered

From the world.

So here I am.

Cold, alone,

Umbrella-less.

Out in the rain.
