Dryad
I live in woods
steeped deep in brown and green
in the heart
of everything.
Step lightly on the leaves and dappled light
Crucify;
Kiss, once,
each of my open palms
o sharp
see each kiss take root...
see wild flowers bloom.
I am pierced through my pale hands
fixed to the bark beneath,
I hang transformed
between three trees.
Only my head can fall
like reasoning.
Now I can't breathe...
hear my heart beat me
hear my green blood fall
to the fallen leaves.
