"Heaven" By Lacrea Moonlight

I see a girl run down the street
I hear the echo of her two feet
She's coming from school to see her Ma
But when she gets there, it'll be just Pa
He'll try to explain why she's gone
Kate'll ask "for just how long?"
But how do you tell her.?

Mommy's gone to heaven
Where the angels fly
Heaven, where you soar through the sky
Heaven, where you always laugh
Heaven, where you always look back
Home.
You always look back home.

Three years later, Kate's out the door
She's going to a new school in grade four
The class welcomes her and Billy asks why
Kate's Mommy isn't there to kiss her 'bye'
So Kate tells him.

My Mommy's gone to heaven
Where the angels fly
Heaven, where you soar through the sky
Heaven, where you always laugh
Heaven, where you always look back
Home
You know you always look back, yeah!

Many years later, Kate's at the prom
She came with Billy, but something's wrong
As he drover home, Billy went too fast
Billy was drunk and got them in a crash
Kate's Daddy came crying and held her hand
Kate smiled and told him how she loved her dad
And then she whispered.

I'll see Mommy in heaven
Where the angels fly
Heaven, where we'll soar through the sky
Heaven, where we'll always laugh
Heaven, where we'll always look back
On you. On you. On you.
