"He is pretty hot, go out with him." Hailey said, shrugging.
She was right, he was hot. Girls would be even more
jealous, because I am already his best friend.

"That would feel like I'm on a date with my brother." I concluded. Hailey rolled her eyes and sighed. I knew that if she had the chance she would date him. So would ever other girl in Fork, Washington.

"I'm going to bed. I'll sleep on it, and talk to him in the morning." I said, standing up. I headed up the wooden stairs. I counted thirty-two steps in my head as I climbed.

My door was at the end of the hallway. A poster saying:
Men having feelings to, but who really cares, hung on it.
Inside another saying: Ah, the government, my chew toy, hung
above my bed. I collapsed on my queen size bed. I wrapped
my body in the black blankets that smelled of vanilla, and
fell asleep.

"Nadia, you have a letter from Angel." Hailey said, as she
shook my shoulder. She handed me a black envelope. Angel's
name was written across the front in gold letters. I opened
it, and read the poem inside.

Hailey had left the room, after she handed me the
letter. All I could do was wrap my arms around my
legs and try and hold back the tears. The poem was
beautiful and deep. The words were original and full of
meaning. I stared at my alarm clock. It was morning
and time to call Angel.

I picked up my phone and dialed his number. The phone rang
once and then he answered.

"Hello, I'm sorry. Did you get my letter?" He asked, me his
voice was deep and calm.

"Yes, and I have a question." I paused.

"What?" He asked.

"Do you want to go out sometime?" I asked him. Angel said
nothing, All I could hear was the radio blasting in the
background.

"Angel?" I asked, making sure he was still on the other
line.

"Yeah, how bout this Friday? Can you meet me at Club Kill
at eight?" He asked me. Club Kill was the hottest dance club
in the state, but the hardest to get in. Fortunately,
Angel's uncle owns the club. He would give his life for
Angel, if needed.

"Sure, meet you there." I said quietly. We both hung up. I
could not believe I was going to go out with my best guy
friend that I had known since like birth.
