The Love in Hate
Your arrogance tends to astound me speechless
Your eyes, contract my prudent heart
Of my feelings for you, hate would seem the perfect description
But in your presence, on my lips, its truth does fade
At times my hands seem all to willing
To drag you within Death's abducting reach
Though somehow those dreams begin to falter
My mind, that too, stands still
I wish your eyes to curl and die
For my own, to forget their wicked smile
Then im sure I would have some breath
To voice your partially alluring faults
One day I pray my reasoning won't choke
When your lips seek mine to dance
I pray your face won't stalk my thoughts
Slay my concentration
It's that which winds my senses in blindness
That which lures my heart to lethal contemplation
Which convinces me I will stumble one more time
Stumble into its deepest trenches
It's that which maintains my survival
That, which prolongs my denial
Which knows I will be broken
Fall all over again
