Anthem of Fallen Trees
By: Tk.T

Arms that once stroked the sky,
Now hang dead and limp.
Hair that was once so lush and green,
Now lay scattered across your feet,
Like a fallen crown.

I weep for you,
As you sing the sorrows of trees,
The mournful song,
Of what you once were in the Spring,
And what the colds of Winter have done now.

You sing in rhythm with your family,
You sing the anthem of fallen trees.

The song of Spring,
When your arms were strong and long.
The song of Spring,
When flowers laced your hair,
And sun warmed your roots.
You sing sweetly into the wind,
Into the ice and snow of Winter.

You sing in rhythm with your family,
You sing the anthem of fallen trees.
