Small Black Mage

Walking through the gloomy streets
Hidden eyes peer over me
As do the heavy drops
Of a darkening sky
It makes me want to turn and flee
I try not to think about it
As I make my way up
My pointy hat soaked
Dampening my spirit
I might as well give up
I am only young
And I am only small
In such a big world
It makes me wonder
Can I make a difference at all?
But I must help my friends
Because they were there
When times were hard
And they did the things
Others wouldn't dare
I've now made it
To what seems to be hell's gate
To look for my friends
And hopefully save them
For it is my fate
