Bleak is my Desire- 3/13/04

All is muted, all is black,

Dark and bleak as my last name suggests.

My head is spinning,

Leave alone

Thrive in darkness

My only home.

What I want to see is what everyone else does

But no one helps,

They think I can handle things on my own,

But as you can see I am all alone.

My dreams are perplexing,

Even for a counselor.

None can decipher either world,

I want the light to guide me through

But all is lost because darkness ensues.

Words can help my ideas arrange,

But none can organize what is in my brain.

AN: This is a poem I submitted to a poetry contest: "Famous Poets Society"

I gave the name 'Aldallia Jennifer Black' and sent it to my school's address; I just wanted to enter for no apparent reason.
