When I was young I saw a programme
That said what percentage of your life you spend waiting.
I can't remember what it was, but it terrified me
So from then on I didn't wait

At bus stops I would sing a tune
In queues I would replay a TV programme in my head
Or repeat patterns of numbers - which eventually stuck there
So I wouldn't be wasting that percentage of my life away.

Later on I realised the truth
That 100% of your life is spent waiting
To die
So then I just waited

I'm still waiting
