A Thousand Eyes
A thousand eyes, a thousand songs,
Limitless tales to tell.
I feel like I must write them all,
As they brew inside my head.
A thousand joys, a thousand pains,
The characters have felt.
I write it all in great detail,
So they will be revealed.
A thousand friends, a thousand foes
With backfires and betrayals.
All those elements are the key,
For a great, enjoyed story.
I glance up from my notebook,
Twirling my pencil 'round.
Until my inspiration comes,
And then I write again.
I love to write, poem or prose,
Even though it can be tough.
It makes me happy, content,
No matter where I am.
