Mirror

Mirror mirror, on the wall,

I wish I could break you into pieces,

burn each sharp fragment,

freeze the ashes in icy water,

throw the ice in the poisonous lake,

retrieve them with thick gloves,

toss them over a furnace playfully.

Then I would take the frame

that once held you,

pour every deadly drop in it,

and watch the poison melt

away that pathetic reflection.
