Blind
Lord we hunger for You,
But we keep forsaking You.
You gave up so much,
We give up so little.
How can we be so selfish?
You died for us,
Gave Your life,
So that we could be free.
And still
We turn our backs on You.
We blame You for forsaking us,
We claim we've done all for You.
But we're the ones who forsook,
We did not do what You asked us to.
Why?
Why do we shrug off Your sacrifice?
It's not fair to You,
We're so unworthy of Your love.
We're blasphemous sinners,
A total disgrace.
Yet You freely give us Your love.
Shed these scales from our eyes,
We need to turn to You oh God!
Without You we are nothing,
So why can't we see?
