shadow truth

forget the illusion

this light:

an unnatural invasion

searchbeams forced, wrenched

through nailholes in tin

to deny the pain

is to deny the shooting star

its glossy black midnight

the ransomed soul

its previous deadly peril

forgetting tears precede hope,

blood that runs before it heals

gloomy chills which usher in dawn

no one is all light

darkness is a piece of being alive

light and innocence are strange places to hide

sometimes the night becomes changeless

softness transforms into shadows

swallowed confessions thrash and boil

this soul so vulnerable,

as easy to shred as any other

rip the facade from this being

commune with whispered sobs

forget pleasantries

see me
