The sun was shining brightly through Anna's window, giving her, quite honestly, a rude awakening. It seemed that no matter which way she turned she could not rid herself of the beams of light that were now beating on her face and arms.
She found herself wishing she had remembered to shut the curtains when she came in the night before as she turned over and slid her hand over what was usually a smooth feather filled pillow. Instead her hand glided over something else.
She couldn't quite identify it but as her hand glided over it gently, she discerned a nose and eyes and that was definitely hair.
Still in her confused sleepy state and assuming she was dreaming, she let her hand glide down the neck.
Running her fingers over the smooth pecks that were prominent over the wide chest, she finally let her fingers run down the perfectly sculpted abdomen and even further still until her eyes popped open and she jerked her hand away.
Looking up, slowly, guiltily, her eyes came to rest on Aaron's face. He looked as if he were trying to hold back his laughter at her reaction and held up a finger to signal for her to give him a minute to get over his apparent laughing fit.
A minute, her ass, she sat up immediately as the covers dropped away from her body to reveal her perfect form in its most natural state.
"Oh god!" She yelped as she realized that she was naked, but even more realized what this insinuated and the meaning of the memories that were now pouring back into her head.
She reached for her robe, "Naaa uh," Aaron grabbed her arm, "Don't get scared, please," he whispered in her ear as he let his arm encircle her waist and pulled her back toward him, throwing the cover over them again.
Anna didn't have time to react, everything was coming at her at one moment, all of the images from last night, what it had meant to her, how great it had felt, and what the consequences were now going to be. She wasn't sure how to react.
Aaron propped himself over her and let his amazing blue eyes burn into hers.
"Aaron, I…" Anna started but stopped immediately as his eyes moved from her eyes down her body to where her breasts were brimming the sheets because of how tight she was clutching them to her body.
Anna could feel her whole body get warm as he slowly moved his hand down to the sheet and pulled it back so that her chest was fully exposed. Letting his hand glide over the two crescents and immediately getting a reaction from Anna's body which began to arch involuntarily.
Anna's eyes slit in pleasure as Aaron slowly began to work the buds of her breasts with the pad of his thumb and let out a moan as she felt his mouth replace his thumb. Thus freeing his hand to roam down her abdomen.
Somehow, Anna collected what little wits she had left, to stop his hand from going any further, "Aaron, we can't do this…"
Aaron immediately stopped and pulled away, giving her an amused look, "We can't do this? Anna, we've done this. Last night, actually, several times last night," he grinned up at her knowing she would see the humor in his statement.
Seeing, what she interpreted to be smugness, she pulled the sheet back up, almost to her chin, "Fine then," she said as she began to sit up.
"Anna," He pulled her back, his eyes showing his confusion, "I don't understand."
Anna shook her head, "What have we done Aaron?" she asked.
"Well, I guess I could describe it to you as it happened but I'm pretty sure you have the same memories as myself," he joked.
"Aaron, would you stop joking around?!?" Anna practically shouted out of frustration but then lowered her voice not because of the look on his face, but more because she didn't want anyone to hear her.
Aaron's face hardened immediately and he moved away from her, "Alright…" he stared at her.
"Do you know what this means? I mean, what we did. . ." she paused as she was just realizing this herself, "We are both engaged and we just. . . we shouldn't have done this, it was a mistake. . ." The last part came out of her mouth before she could stop it or think about the effects that it might have but the minute it came out, she felt terrible.
Aaron's face grew dark and he just sat staring at her for a minute before sliding to the end of the bed and placing his feet on the floor as he leaned over to grab his clothes, "I see."
Quickly, shoving his legs into his pants and fastening them at the waist, he stood up and slid on his shoes and started for the window.
"Aaron, I'm sorry," Anna apologized.
He quickly put up his hand to stop her, "I don't need apologies because I can't accept them. I'm not sorry for what happened last night but I am sorry that I had any kind of hope that you could think about anyone but yourself. You always have and I don't know why I would fool myself into believing it would be any different this time." And with that, he slid out the window and was gone.
Aaron's head pounded all the way home. He must have looked like a crazy man as he made his way down the street muttering to himself, anger evident in his very demeanor.
Once he got to his house, he stomped up the back steps and flung open the back door, slamming it behind him.
He threw his shirt towards the wash area and started up the back stairs. . .
"Mister Earnshaw!" a voice came from behind him in little over a whisper.
He looked over the banister at his house keeper, "Not right now, Eva," he responded and started to continue up the stairs.
"Sir," Eva called up again and after receiving an irritated look from Aaron, "Excuse me for being so bold," she replied immediately, "But you have guests in the parlor."
Aaron deflated against the banister, "Who?" he asked.
"A Mr. Grey and an associate of his," Eva replied, as she gave his frazzled appearance a puzzled look.
Aaron's pulse jumped when he heard the name, what business could that man have here?
Did Grey know what had happened between Aaron and Anna?
"Tell him I'll be down in a few minutes; just give me a chance to clean up. . ." Aaron replied and Eva nodded.
Anna lay in bed for a long time, thinking about what just happened. She was coming to the realization that coming back here had been completely wrong. She should have just stayed at school and she would probably be quite content right now.
She sighed as she sat up in bed and slid out of bed to get ready for the day. If she knew anything at all, it was that she was definitely not going to tell anyone about what happened between Aaron and her.
As she stood up straight she yelped and fell back against the bed, forgetting the ankle sprain of last night. How was she going to be able to explain that one?
Daniel, being a doctor, would know immediately that something was wrong.
Just as she had gotten her balance again, there was a knock on the door.
Anna quickly grabbed her robe and wrapped it around her, "Come in!" she called after looking in the mirror and fixing her hair and other tell tale signs of her night.
"Good morning beautiful, how was your night?" Sarah asked in a melodic tone as she brought in a tray of breakfast foods, "Ah, damn, you're up!" she smiled as she put the tray down on the night stand, "I wanted to give you breakfast in bed."
Anna smiled at her friend, "Thanks Sarah."
Sarah looked up immediately when she heard the sound of Anna's voice, "What's wrong?" she asked. . .
