Prisoners
While the shadow of the sun sets,
Sorrow echoes through my soul,
For I am a prisoner of the night.
My heart is dark and despairing,
Hopeless evermore, crying endless tears,
Staring at the night's battles,
In such awe I stand.
Neon orange and blood red illuminate,
The sky so calm, a fiery blaze a glowing,
The North Star wakes, moon follows,
Star guides and helps the moon rule,
The darkness of the night everlasting,
A struggle between the wise and strong,
Conflicting in itself; stars oh so wise and moon so strong,
Prisoners of their own domain,
But the sky almighty,
Breaks the jail of pathos for all.
While the shadow of the sun sets,
Sorrow echoes through my soul,
For I am a prisoner of the night.
My heart is dark and despairing,
Hopeless evermore, crying endless tears,
Staring at the night's battles,
In such awe I stand.
Neon orange and blood red illuminate,
The sky so calm, a fiery blaze a glowing,
The North Star wakes, moon follows,
Star guides and helps the moon rule,
The darkness of the night everlasting,
A struggle between the wise and strong,
Conflicting in itself; stars oh so wise and moon so strong,
Prisoners of their own domain,
But the sky almighty,
Breaks the jail of pathos for all.
