Foundations Of Truth and Purity

"So long," he said as he turned his back to the door
And he smiled and swore that he would return there no more
She fought back crying a tear
For the man she had held so near
But the little one did not and began to wail
And tried to follow, with all its will, its father's trail
But the door was shut now
And the child did not know how
To open it and let everything back in once more
So, defeated, the child just sank down to the floor
And half way down the road the man did stop and ponder
"Did I make the right choice to start again and wander?"
