Try, Try again
You slowly walk across the tile floor,
One wobbly step after another.
Suddenly you stumble,
And fall to the ground.
You look up to me and give me that smile,
And let out an ecstatic giggle,
As you get up to try again.
I wonder,
Why do you smile when you fall?
Why do you laugh in your failure?
You simply get up and try again.
We should all be like that,
So many of us teenagers give up so easily,
Resorting to depression, cutting, and suicide.
But she's barely a year old,
And she's wiser than any of us,
To just get up and try again,
Taking little baby steps to your goal.
A/N: This is for my baby sis, Hylene, today's her first birthday.
Ha! Take this Lu!!! I can write not dark poems!!
