Sonnet #1 (The Dance)

I dance through the empty halls
I tango in the midst and pain
I waltz until the night falls
And dawn comes home again
I saunter on the seaside
I stroll in the sandy park
I wander throughout the tide
Until sweet silent dawn becomes dark
I hope for something superior
Then this lonely dance
My life is a conflict interior
And stone is my sole glance
I am cold and distant within
Longing for a friend or kin
