I saw her tears
I saw his blood
I stood watching
My thoughts piecing reality together
I heard his cries
His memory stricken body
Rocking back and forth
In melodic motions
No one could stop him
I stool still
The reality was too much
That red night
The blood covered towels
That was all I saw
I was blinded by their lies
Her tears were heavy that night
Blaming only herself
His pain, his memories
She wanted to carry on her shoulders
I saw him the next day,
Red blood seeping through the white bandages
I stood silent
Still not knowing what to say.
