Deity's Regret
Most say they know him,
Are ready for him,
To answer him,
To fall in love with him,
To follow him to the ends of the earth.
Most love him dearly,
Hold him closer then they know.
Most dance with him,
Once,
Twice,
Thrice a day.
They laugh with him.
They cry with him.
They lead him by the hand.
Show him this,
Ask praise for that.
And all the while ,
He will smile.
And tip his hat as they,
pass by.
the young .
the old.
obsessed with him.
he is their golden idol.
their.
Deity.

And once you've fallen in,
Head first.
Once your drenched with him.
His charm.
His lust.
You'll write a love note,
As he smiles,
Wrapping,
Long,
Perfect,
Fingers 'round your fragile soul.
He'll squeeze,
And squeeze.
Till there is nothing left.
Yet.
Regret.
For worshiping,
Almighty Death.
