Chapter 20

Ambulance sirens filled the summer air. A large crowd gathered around the bleeding body of Jamie Fargo. Soon the paramedics arrived and put Jamie in the ambulance and sped off to the hospital. Tim Fargo ran up to the gathered crowd to see what had happened. "What happened here?" he asked one of the policemen that was cleaning up the pool of blood that lay on the sidewalk. Already a yellow crime - scene - investigation tape surrounded the area and no one was allowed in the area.

The policeman turned to Tim and sighed, "It seems that Jamie Fargo was gunned down here by another teenage boy. We haven't caught the teenage boy yet but he's dangerous because he probably still has the gun." Tim's face clouded over and he almost fell down. The policeman grabbed his arm to steady him, "Sir are you alright?" the policeman asked. "I have to get to the hospital! Oh dear God please don't let him. . .die!" Tim said as he turned and ran to his car.

In the ambulance Jamie opened his eyes slowly. He felt dizzy and he was in so much pain. The pain was coming from his stomach where the bullet had went through. One of the paramedics gripped his hand tightly and kept pumping the oxygen mask that was on Jamie's face. Finally Jamie closed his eyes for the last time. Now it was time for his last dream to be fulfilled and that was to meet God in Heaven.

At the hospital Tim ran in and asked where Jamie Fargo was. At that moment a doctor came out to talk to him. "I'm. . .afraid that your son has died. The gunshot wound was fatal and. . .there was nothing we could do," the doctor said. Tim covered his face with his hands and fell to his knees sobbing in the middle of the hospital.

"Fifteen-year-old Jamie Fargo was gunned down by sixteen-year-old Chad Hanson on fifth street at 12:30 today. The police caught and arrested Chad Hanson for the murder of Jamie Fargo. When asked why he killed Jamie, Chad only said 'Because I hated him'. It is such a sad loss and Jamie will be missed by many. He was a famous author and his book was being turned into a movie. The filming of the movie was taking place next month, Already many of his fans have gathered to mourn the passing of Jamie," the news reporter said as she stood outside the crime scene.

The small town of Irvine could not believe that a murder had taken place. They also couldn't believe that sweet and kind Jamie Fargo had been the one murdered. It made no sense. Jamie was always so kind and never did anything to anyone. He had accomplished and fulfilled so many things that no normal fifteen-year-old had ever done. But his dreams had been cut short by one thing, hate.

As the years passed by Tim started a 'Jamie Fargo Fan Club'. The movie, Lost Dreams, was made and when it came to theaters millions went to see it. The movie was a big hit and won an Academy Award. At the Academy Awards Tim was asked to come up with director Gregory Ricco and screenplay writer Joshua Martin to accept the award. As he stood before the large crowd of people Tim spoke, "I know that. . .Jamie would have been so happy if he were here now. I wish he could be here to see that the movie had been such a success. I will always miss him and I believe everyone that knew and loved him will miss him. But Jamie wanted one thing. He wanted to be loved and accepted for who he was. I believe that he has gotten more than that. He will forever live on in our hearts." The crowd clapped and many had tears in their eyes.

Now many years later the Fargo house was turned into a museum. They built onto it and made it into a museum about Jamie and his legacy. The museum's main purpose was to teach how terrible hate and prejudice is. People from all over the world came to the town of Irvine wanting to see the place where their inspiration and role model, Jamie Fargo, had lived and died. Jamie had touched so many people's lives and it was amazing how many fans he did have. No one would never forget him. They would always remember the happy and kind boy that had believed in a dream and who had the courage to make it come true.

The End

Until I See You Again

(Theme song for "Blood drops On Roses")

Written by writerforever

I thought I saw you today

Walking along the street

You seemed to shine like the sun

You turned to me and smiled

And for a moment

I thought you were real

But then you vanished

And I realized

That you are gone forever

So. . .

Chorus:

Until I see you again

I'll keep remembering you

Until I see you again

I'll hold you in my heart

And never let go of the memories

Until I see you again

I'll be thinking of you day and night

Until I see you again

You'll be with me in my heart

Until I see you again

On that distant shore

Everywhere I turn I see you

I see you in everything

I see you in everyone

You changed us all

In ways we will never realize

You will be missed

But we will not be apart forever

So. . .

Chorus:

Until I see you again

I'll keep remembering you

Until I see you again

I'll hold you in my heart

And never let go of the memories

Until I see you again

I'll be thinking of you day and night

Until I see you again

You'll be with me in my heart

Until I see you again

On that distant shore
