Amanda, Breanna, Tannia, Kelly, Elizabeth, Melissa, Carla.
Who will survive?
A crackle boomed throughout the darkened sky. Lightning soon followed, lighting the entire room with a white flash. Hail and rain slammed against the glass windows, as if angrily asking to be let in. The small classroom was occupied with 22 students and one teacher. Most of the girls in the classroom would jump occasionally at the thunder or lightning. The small room was one of many in the small school; Penn Christian Academy. The room was a pale color with a multi colored rug placed on the floor. Tiny pieces of of white paper lie scattered on the floor, no one truly bothering to pick it up. Many posters hung about the walls, telling us about the word of God. The chalk bored was smeared with chalk and and writing. In the middle of the room, taking up most of the space was five tables, with five chairs each; some had less. In he back of the room was the teacher's desk and seven computers.
The rather plump teacher was bouncing around in front of the chalk bored, telling us it was only lightning and thunder and that we were fine. She was wearing a pale yellow tang top, which was rather tight. The was hanging loosely above a cowboy leather belt and a tight jean skirt. Her hair matched her shirt and was cut just below the earlobe. She giggled as more students jumped from the lightning.
It was a few days from summer break and the area was having severe thunderstorms by the hour. At one of the tables, eight girls had pulled their chairs together, to huddle in a group. There sat: Breanna, Tannia, Amanda, Carla, Rachel, Kelly, Melissa, and Elizabeth. The girls shuddered as another thunder boom shook the school. Another Lightning, then *BOOM*. Melissa shrieked this time.
Mrs.. LaForest, the teacher, walked over to the girl's table. "If there is a problem, I'm going to split you girls up." She scolded them in a stern tone. "But have fun!" She regained her bouncing mood, and hopped back in front of the classroom. The bell suddenly rang throughout the school, sounding the end of class; the end of Reading for the 7th grade. The girls scurried down the double stairs to the lockers, in a straight row. They put their books away, and took out the needed ones for next class; Science.
Mrs.. Sonsini, The science teacher, yelled for the students to take their seats. Two students, Jacob and David, were messing' around; Play fighting out in the hallway as they came in. "Uh, excuse me. In a highshool situation, you would be sent to security, and probably expelled." She yelled at them. "Now, please take your seats now."
After they took their seats, she picked up a a black controller of the overhead, and clicked the power button. Instantly the tv popped on. It flashed with the grey, black, and white fizz of a channel that didn't come in. Two more buttons were pushed as the weather channel appeared. The woman on the T.V. announced the weather conditions, that they weren't to lift at all. The rather short teacher leaned against the bored staring outside, as she talked to the three "nerdy" students in the front. The lightning and thunder had seemed to have increased since Reading. The eight girls strangely had close assigned seats. With Breanna, Amanda, and Tannia in the back. Kelly, Rachel, Carla, Melissa, and Elizabeth in the next row up.
"Rachel You had better not ditch me with matt at the movies!" Amanda forewarned Rachel. They were going to see a movie this Friday and Amanda was excited about it, but not with just Matt and her brother. Two of the same annoyingness was a bad mix.
"I wont..." She answered. Suddenly a large bleeping noise came from the T.V. Everyone looked at it as the bottom read a warning out. The weather channel was soon replaced with a news caster in a plum work dress. Her skin was pale and she seemed abit shocked, when usually they kept a straight face when reporting even the most distrot news.
"Wow, this news is truly shocking! It seems about an hour ago an enraged murderer escaped from a local prison. He had taken advantage of the storm and killed all the police in his way. This man is extremely dangerous and had killed over 50 people, kids, men, and women, in the last month. Someone last reported seeing him head down Germantown Pike in Norristown, towards Penn Christian Acad..."
Mrs.. Sonsini clicked the tv off. A beep came over the speakers. The familiar sound of the principle 'tching' came about.
"Teachers, Teachers. It is really computer LAP time. I repeat, it is really Computer LAP time."
The students jumped from their chairs to the front of the room, each huddled into a ball on the floor. The teacher leaped across the room, locking both doors and turning out the lights. She, too, moved out of the doorway with the other children.
The Eight girls were still together, in a circle, staring at the floor, and out the window; rain still coming down. Amanda's ears caught something and she lifted her head. A few seconds later the other girls heard it too. Then the whole class became dead silent. Large heavy footsteps sounded outside the classroom. You could hear it, slowly, loudly, stomp down the small set of stairs. It continued past the first door. Amanda rested her arms across her legs and placed her head in them. Her eyes squinted shut. The steps came to a stop at the second door. The rest of the girls were breathing heavily, trying to cease it.
Large breathing was heard from the doorway, everyone's heart seemed to stop. The all tried not to breath. Tannia and Breanna were shielding each other, Carla and Melissa copied them, as did Rachel and Kelly. Elizabeth and Amanda were the two who hadn't. Lightning flashed, every second seemed like an hour, then thunder boomed out. Just as it did the door was kicked down.
Everyone screamed and ran for the other door. They jiggled and jabbed at the door and doorknob to open it, but Mrs.. Sonsini had locked it. She had been in the back of the twenty-two students trying to get to the door to unlock it. The man walked in and cocked his head to the frightened students. He was amused at how they acted like trapped rats running from a hungrily cat. The escapee was dressed in a blue mechanics' uniform. Blood was splashed across the just over the name Leroy. Around his face was a metal mask that covered only the bottom half of his face. His hair was a brownish red color, that matched his blood shot deep brown eyes. In his hand was a large machete. It glistened as a lightning bolt struck. There was deep red stains dried on it, which was clearly visible. He took a step forward, just as the teacher made it to the door, pushing the students out of the way. She took the key from the keychain around her neck and nervously jammed it into the doorway, turning it in all directions.
The eight girls were somewhat split up as they pushed forward, most crying in fear. He took another step forward as the teacher finally unlocked the door. She took the key from the hole. The psycho picked up a chair and threw it at the students near the back. Amanda was closest towards the back, receiving full impact of the blow. She fell to the ground as the other students just screamed in minimum pain. The noise was outrageous, screaming. The door was pushed forward just as the killer made his way to them, pushing the desks over and breaking the glass on the overhead. He looked down at Amanda, she seemed dazed. Not knowing where she was. His free hand grabbed her shirt and lifted her body in the air. She let out a groan as she saw him lift the large weapon. The dried blood was chipping away, she could see from this close up. He didn't stab her, but tossed her body over a table, knocking into chairs and cabinets. Her head stared to the ceiling and nowhere else. She was in pain. Screams were heard throughout the school. She heard his footsteps leave the room and echo throughout her head. Her vision started t become blurry.
"Teachers, Teachers. Computer LAP time is over, please evacuate the school. I repeat, Teachers, Computer LAP time is over, please evacuate the school."
Was the last thing Amanda heard before drifting off into unconsciousness.
