The gold shines bright as the sun,
Tempting and glowing, so fun,
To watch the light dance on the earth,
As golden reflect gives it birth.

The bronze stands strong like fire,
Immortal, portraying our desire,
Invincible, tempting our senses,
And innocently lowering defenses.

Copper or silver, which to choose,
As the third enemy, the third muse,
The fatal enticement in disguise,
To which shall succumb even the wise?

Shall the eyes be of jade or turquoise?
Perhaps amethyst or onyx strong poise?
Or do diamonds befit you better,
Unbreakable whatever the weather.

Shall the crown be satin or silk?
Sweet as honey or smooth as milk?
Whatever the choice, I shall fall
To my knees before them all.
