He held up the sky in a dance for the stars
Hands clasping mine he ignored all my scars
We twirled through air, leaves on the wind
So happy and blissful, child till end
My long hair concealing his pleasant face
He said he'd always show me a merrier place
Neverland caused the sorrow to slip away
With Peter Pan my life stopped decay
Butterflies flew beneath our hovering feet
We flew high to the sky, the morning to greet
But the sun melted feelings when I remembered my home
I returned to my bed, my bed all alone
Peter Pan could not follow my homesick soul
He stayed for more lost boys in Neverland's lull
The wind no longer tugs my emotions astray
Instead I grow old, and memories of Pan fade away
