I cry black tears
Another night alone
With my thoughts
Too deep to understand

I cry black tears
No comfort this night
Stars covered by selfish clouds
Moon not to be seen

I cry black tears
I feel the pain of the world
Hear the cries of the hungry
Hold the lost hope of the poor

I cry black tears
For the lack of justice in the world
For the black man in the ghetto
For the Hispanic woman under oppression

I cry black tears
For the ignorance and immaturity
For the lack of talent and passion
For the lost individual

I cry black tears
For those like me
Too afraid to let go
Too depressed to move on

I cry black tears
For those trapped in their lies
In their lonely images
In their self deprecation

I cry black tears
For the wounded ones
With tattered spirits
And no faith

I cry black tears
For the pain few feel
For the black colors that represent them
For the misunderstood

I cry black tears
For the ones labeled Goth
For the way no one tries
To see their point of view

I cry black tears
For the utterly miserable ones
The pitiful wretched ones
Who manage to stand strong

I cry black tears
For the ones with no pride
With demons to battle
That they must face alone

I cry black tears
Because clear tears are much too beautiful
To truly capture these feelings
