Rain clouds overhead
Will the sun ever shine again?
With it's happy rays with all their cheer
Tormenting me with joyful leers

Smell of rain in the air
Cleanses me until I'm bare
The rain is what I love to hear
Puddles are my mirror

Sunny days taunt me
Happy they say I should be
I can't help my sadness
As much as they can't help their gladness

My eyes are used to a dark room
The only light being from the moon
The sun burns through sensitive eyes
The rain washes through all the lies

Cloudy days are comforting
They're closer by, sympathizing
The clouds seem to reflect my
Lack of ability to get by

The sun lifts all moisture out
Until dry air is all about
The rain mingles with my tears
Clearing away the pain of my fears
