We live like the sun

A morning sun slowly emerges headfirst from the ocean of its birth
It grows brighter with the thirst to be the brightest burst of light on
this earth

At its zenith it provides heat and warmth trying to maintain its power and
its wealth
Strangely distant yet close, a paradoxic duality which sustains life to
many and itself

But as the day unwinds the sun sets bending down to kiss the water to which
it will succumb
A daily reminder that we must all go back to the ocean that we came from
