"Now you stay close to mommy, okay? Tokyo is a big place, and we might not be able to find if you get lost." A western looking woman, with bright blond hair, tugged on the boy's hand, pulling him along with her through the crowds. The boy looked up at her, nodding his head in response. He stared around the streets with awe fascination, watching the people pass by him and his parents by; he never seen so many people before crowding in one street.

He felt his mother stop, bumping into her softly; he looked up at her to see why she had stopped. She was talking to his father, both glancing down at a map, pointing at varies buildings or places they could find on the map. The boy let go of his mother's hand, but stood close to her, while he looked around where they were standing.

Someone passed over him, unintentionally knocking him down to the sidewalk. The boy began to cry, feeling slight pain from when his bare knees scraped across the concrete. He felt two gentle hands on his shoulders, looking up at a man who had dark hair and dark eyes, looking at him with concern.

"Daijoubu ka?" The boy blinked, not sure what he heard the stranger say; the man took out a small handkerchief, carefully wiping away the little blood there was, before helping the boy to his feet. The man spoke to him again with the weird words, patting him on the head.

"Sayonara." With a last smile, the man left. The boy waved goodbye, turning around to tell his parents how nice the people here were, but when he looked he saw them no where. He turned his head to the left and to the right, turning his body around to search behind him --he couldn't find them anywhere. Feeling afraid, he started running in the direction he had came in through with his parents, thinking maybe that they may have headed back already. He kept running, beginning to feel frightful tears streaming down his face when he couldn't find either of his parents.

The boy sat on the edge of the fountain, hands to his eyes as he cried; he had been running around for nearly four hours and he could not find his parents anywhere. He had run into a fairly large park, thinking maybe his parents were there - he found no one. His tears kept coming, his cries becoming louder as the thought of being lost became the only thing in his mind; he stopped to a sniffle, eyeing an outstretched hand with a tiny paper-made animal on the palm.

"Daijoubu." He recognized the strange word, but the voice was different - it sounded lighter, more younger. He looked up to the owner of the hand, staring at a young teen; the boy blinked at the teen, gazing at the shoulder-length raven black hair and beautifully bright blue eyes.

"You... you are western, no?" The boy's eyes widened at the stranger's English - it was fairly good than from what he had heard before. He nodded his head, hesitantly opening his mouth.

"Y-yes... I - I'm lost." The raven-head smiled gently, holding the paper animal out for the boy to take; the light brunet looked at it, before carefully picking it up with his own fingers, placing it in his own palm.

"It's a crane - I made it myself. Come, I'll take you to the police. We can wait there for your parents." The teen straighten himself up, holding out a hand for the boy to take; the younger westerner stared at the hand before staring up at the owner, timidly taking the hand with his own. The raven- head smiled, gently pulling the boy along with him to the station.

"My name is Miki. What's yours?"

"J-J-Jamie..."

"Jamie...?"

"Rogers... Jamie Rogers." Miki nodded, holding tight to his hand as they walked out of the park and down the streets to the police.

"Jamie!!"

"Mom!!" The mother immediately gathered Jamie in her arms, holding him tight as she rocked him back and forth on the floor. Jamie wrapped his arms tight around his mother, crying against her shoulder; the father looked to Miki, shaking the teen's hand in appreciation.

"Thank you so much... We were so worried, we just... thank you! How can we repay you?"

"There's no need. I'm glad to have helped." The father finally released Miki's hand, a grateful smile on his face. He reached into his back pocket to pull out his wallet, but Miki shook his head, a slightly nervous smile on his face.

"No, no, it's okay! I don't ask for anything in return!!" The father only stared at him blankly, still insisting that he repay the teen in some way; Miki simply shook his head, repeating that no reward was necessary for his kindness. The father was about to open his mouth to protest, when he felt his wife's hand gently on his shoulder. She leaned in to whisper something in his ear.

"Dear - it's okay. He doesn't look like he'll be changing his mind. It's okay." The father let out a sigh of defeat, placing his wallet back into his pocket. Miki let out a sigh of relief and silently thanked the woman for convincing her husband otherwise. He looked at Jamie with a smile, walking over to the boy and crouched down to his height, staring straight in the eyes.

"You should be more careful, alright Jamie-chan?" Jamie nodded, wondering what the 'chan' at the end of his name meant. Miki stood up to his height, turning to the parents to wish them a good trip in Japan and said farewell and left through the doors. The parents said goodbye as well; the mother going lift Jamie up in her arms to carry him back to the hotel.

Jamie leaned against his mother as they left the station; it was fairly dark out and he had run around for a long while and felt tired. Jamie rested his chin on his mother's shoulder, eyes slowly fluttering close; he opened them again when he saw someone walking away from them and recognized the stranger as Miki. Jamie watched as the raven-head disappeared among the crowds, never once looking back.

// He... what is he? //

The brunet was unsure about Miki - maybe it was because he was too young, but something about Miki made him different from many people. He found the older boy to be very strange and yet so pretty; his hair was pure black, natural, but his eyes were a beautiful, startling bright blue color. An odd combination Jamie had never seen before on a person - it striked him as being pretty. Jamie slowly fell asleep in his mother's arms, the last thing in his mind was Miki's face.
