Note: It all started that Friday in May on that certain day…. The result of boredom….. For those of you who know who you are, enjoy! This is a joke as you all know. ^_^ For those who don't know, enjoy the story as another story. It is after all a story… now I'm being repetitive. Anyways, have fun! Suggestions for a title and the name of the group currently coded as Azn Anti Vampire Team are umm…  needed please. Thank you very much. Don't forget to review and give feedback. Thanks.^_^

Chapter 1: Nothing Much

For centuries, the earth was a planet of light and darkness. The lord of darkness was called upon many times, and the brave heroes and heroines fought with their best to defeat him and send him back to the grave. Again and again, they sent him back, but those that worshipped him did not cease their attempts. The prince of darkness refused to disappear forever…and thus, the deceptions became more and more complicated…

When the clouds the moon hide

When there are heroes no more

For the world to turn to…

The clouds rolled by in the night ocean, fast and furious yet calm in a strange way. It was a windless night, yet the clouds passed quickly over the town of Wysternia. Jade Reinhardt formerly known as Jade Delacroix leaned over the banister of Lord Alekzander Constantine's house. It was a mansion, this particular house. It was huge, but Constantine knew the place inside out. He and his friend Dante Alferi had designed it. Knowing them, Jade knew that there were at least a dozen hidden niches.

"Oh! Well, I got you there!" The statement was followed by a chorus of laughter.

Jade sighed and looked down toward the room where the voices had come from. Constantine had apparently just found the ace card. Strangely enough, it always for some reason seemed to avoid him and hide from him. Lord Alekzander Constantine's home was the unofficial secretive headquarters of the AAVT, the Azn Anti Vampire Team or what would be the AAVT secret headquarters. [name change is inevitable: suggestions needed]

Jade shook her head. At the moment, the members of the team were playing a card game named B.S. It was rather normal considering the ages and the immaturity of some of the members. She walked downstairs and watched them with curiosity. They were so absorbed in the game that they didn't notice her. She shrugged and shook her head.

"Oh, no!!!!! You're kidding me… how could you do that to me? I'm gonna lose I'm gonna lose I'm gonna lose!!!! No, I won't let you!"

Jade shook her head again. There were nine of them in her besides herself. The one that had just lamented went by the name of Christopher Harker, but they referred to him as Catastrophic Pessimist.

"B.S.!!!!!!" Harker yelled as the boy next to him put down two cards.

"Noooooes!!!" The boy next to Harker was actually related to Jade. He was the youngest of the nine. His obsession with electronic games was not overlooked. Er Li Belmont was the "Computer Guy." He did happen to have a bad habit of falling asleep during dire or boring times alike.

"Ahahahahaha! Oh, Harker got you!"  A young man across from Belmont slammed his fist on the table. "Oh!" He laughed. Anton van Dagger, very emotional and headstrong. He was the oldest of them and the loudest.

"Too bad, Er. I think your luck went out on you there. Tee hee," Jade commented.

The group for the first time noticed her presence. "Uh, heh?" Belmont chuckled.

"JADEE!!!! Come play!!!" one of the girls shouted. "It's fun!"

"Yeah, when you don't get slapped by people…" Constantine said.

            Jade raised an eyebrow.

"Hey!" the girl slapped Constantine across the face.

"Hey yourself! What was that for?!!" Constantine yelled.

"You were being mean!" the girl replied with a pout.

"No, I wasn't! What are you talking about?"

            There was another slap.

"Ahahaha! Constantine got slapped again!" Anton laughed.

Jade rolled her eyes. Sasha Lucy van Purim, the feistiest lady in the group. All who dared to slight her received a nice big slap. She and Constantine were now arguing heatedly. Jade shook her head.

The other girl at the table looked at Jade and shrugged. "What's new?"

            Jade grinned. "Yeah, that's true."

Yoko Arikado grinned back. She rolled up a piece of paper and hit Constantine with it. Jade shrugged. Yoko, the beauty of the East… feisty but not as feisty as Lady Sasha yet dangerous in her own way…

"What?!! Now both of you? What for? I'm being abused in my own house!" Constantine hollered.

            Everyone was laughing now.

"Hey, well, Alek, it's your fault. Alright. Come on, Sasha, stop it now," Dante said. He received a prompt slap. "Hey!" The young man next to Dante, Roderick Belnades, chuckled and was slapped as well.

"Now look what Jade did!" Harker declared.

"What?" Jade stared at him. "I didn't do anything!"

"Exactly, but you still caused this!" Harker replied defiantly.

            Jade kicked him. "Liar."

Belmont shrugged and watched. He remarked to his neighbor, Victor, "Isn't this funny? Hehe." Anton just kept on laughing.

Victor shrugged. He held up a bag of candy. "Hey.. anyone want to buy candy to soothe anger? Candy is sweet and good! It's only a dollar for one!"

Everyone stared at him. Victor Kruez always seemed to be selling candy no matter what state he was in or for that matter, no matter where he was whether it be in the middle of a dump or in a castle. He was also selling those teeth breaking sweets.

"How about you give me one for free?" Harker asked.

"Nah… see.. I'm trying to fundraise… sorry. You could pay me back tomorrow.." Victor said.

"Fundraising for yourself eh?" Dante commented sarcastically.

"Don't give it to Harker. He'll forget and eat all the candy without paying," Jade replied.

            "No…" Harker answered.

Victor shrugged. "Well, I'm fundraising and that's all I'm saying."

            "Ok…." Sasha said.

"Ok, let's eat dinner! I'm cooking!" Anton said loudly.

"Wait! I want to finish the game. I'm winning!" Harker declared.

"Yeah, you're going to win with your uber mad calculator skills," Belmont commented.

"What do you mean?" Harker demanded.

"Uber mad calculator skills is what I mean," Belmont answered.

"Whatever. Let's eat. The food's getting cold," Anton said.

Everyone, tired of the arguments agreed. Of course, no one foresaw the food fight that was going to occur…

***

The next morning…

They had all slept over at Lord Alekzander Constantine's mansion quite comfortably. Constantine couldn't refuse them hospitality. It was in his nature as a lord to provide hospitality to guests, friends, and to be noble. There was no way he could have refused anyhow because they would have all ganged up on him. Besides, some of them lived in his home to begin with.

Constantine opened his eyes. It was strangely dark, and it felt as if there was something on his face. He got up quickly. A book fell off. He sighed and smacked himself. After the others had gone to sleep, he had started to read a book about an important historical war. Apparently he had fallen asleep because he had gotten bored by the wording of parts of the book. He had not changed out of his clothes. Constantine sighed again. He had to stay awake even if he did become bored. What would happen if he fell asleep at an important ceremony and he was to make a speech?

He quickly got up and changed into unwrinkled clothes. As he smoothed his hair, he heard a slew of noise downstairs.

"Oh, crap!!! I'm going to miss my business trip!!!" he heard Dante yell.

            "Where you going?" Jade asked.

Constantine quickly rushed downstairs to find that they had all eaten breakfast by service of Anton. "Breakfast without me?" he muttered. "Geez." He also noticed that they were playing card games again.

"Some place in Romania. My boss wants me to set up a deal with some guy who wants to buy a house." Dante was part of a realtor agency and as a realtor, he was required to travel to clients' houses.

"We're on the edge of Romania, doofus… except we're near France," Yoko replied.

"Alright, in the middle of Romania. There! I'm supposed to meet someone when I get off the ship, and they're going to take me to the place," Dante answered with a shrug.

            "B.S. Dante!" Harker hollered.

Dante looked at him. "Darn, how'd you know?!!"

"Dante, you lied about your business trip! What?!!" Sasha screeched.

Dante cringed slightly. "No.. Harker was talking about the stupid card game we were playing… notice the cards in your hand…" He received a loud slap. "Alright! I quit! I need to go. I haven't even packed yet!"

"Hey, Dante, chill!" Constantine yelled as he tried to eat.

Everyone watched Dante storm out and slam the door.

Harker shrugged. "Looks like I won." He grinned.

Sasha slapped him. So did Yoko and Jade.

"Ow! Eh. I feel soooo loved," Harker said.

"Don't you have somewhere to go?" Jade inquired slyly.

Harker stared at her. "I do?" He raised an eyebrow.

Jade rolled her eyes. "Well, let's see. It's a Monday and you teach calculus at a certain high school…"

"Oh, crap! I'm gonna be late! I'm gonna be late! I'm gonna…." Harker rushed out the door so fast that no one could blink. Everyone blinked afterwards though.

"Wow… and I thought I was frustrated sometimes," Jade commented. She shrugged.

"Yeah, well, haha, Harker's always freaking out. Heck, I remember when he was young he used to lament about failing every minute!" Anton laughed.

"Well, I'm off to the target range," Belnades said.

"Don't shoot yourself! Hehe!" Sasha laughed.

"I work there. I wouldn't shoot myself. Besides, I'm an expert!" Belnades replied.

"Like heck you are! Hehe!" Sasha slapped him.

"…" Belnades rubbed his red cheek and glared at Sasha as he walked out.

Constantine neared the door as he had finally finished his breakfast. "Well, I think we should call Yoko avocado since her name sounds like it! Ha!"

"What?" Yoko slapped him. "Ugh, well, I'm off to the restaurant."

"Bye….!" Constantine grinned and pretended to bat his eyelashes.

"Ugh!" Yoko was part of a restaurant business, an Oriental restaurant anyways. She was one of the three managers of the place and a cook. In fact, all of the managers were cooks. The Oriental restaurant offered anything from Chinese to Japanese and Indian food.

Anton snickered loudly. He was actually a cook there as well, but he didn't have to turn in until later on this day. He specialized in, well, various types of food… more specifically dessert. Anton, being of quite a large figure, was also a bouncer.

"So, when are the rest of yous leaving?" Constantine asked the rest that remained. He leaned against the banister of the stairs with a smug smile.

"Shut up, Constantine. You're lazy. All you do is sit around and look formal," Jade commented. "I'm off now to work. Bye, guys and girl!" Jade nodded to Sasha, who vigorously waved back.

"Well, what about the rest of you?" Constantine inquired.

"Later," Anton replied. "Hahaha. I can sleep in." He charged up the stairs. "I'll borrow your rooms again, if you don't mind!"

"Eh.. when I feel like it," Sasha replied. "I'm a ninja master. You'd never know when I sneak in or out!" She grinned widely.

"As for me…." Belmont started. "NEVER!!!!"

Constantine rolled his eyes. "Of course. Your lab is in the mansion."

Belmont shrugged and chuckled. "Yes." Er Li was too young to have a job, but job he had; one concerning electronics. He was an inventor. Already, he had invented a small portable computer like object.

Constantine sighed. His presence was requested at a meeting at the local council. He didn't even want to bother thinking why he had been summoned. It was probably something stupid yet reasonable. It was going to be a long day. Besides… where did Victor go? He hadn't seen him… Constantine went to Victor's room to check.

***

Luckily, Dante had packed before he had crashed at Constantine's mansion the night before. His ride was to leave at nine in the morning. It was ten minutes to nine. Dante quickly grabbed his belongings and ran.

"Damn it, why do I have to live so far away?" Dante muttered. Luckily, he was a light packer. Somehow, he got there… of course he was late five minutes… The ship was just departing. "WAIT! WAIT!"

There was some laughter as the ship stopped and anchored.

Dante boarded the ship panting. "Thanks."

"No problem, Mr. Alferi," the captain said with a wink.

            "Kreuz?!!!!"

"Shhhh…." Victor whispered. "I'm backup for today."

            "You work here?"

"Uh, no… I'm just undercover…" Victor winked. "Anyways, welcome abroad! I'm Captain Jack Sparrow!"

Dante blinked. "Sure, well, since you already know my name, hi!"

"Ah… yes, well, this voyage will be around two to three days," Victor replied. "Alex, there, will show you to your quarters."

A strong sailor saluted and came up to Dante. "Follow me, if you would please.."

            Dante nodded. "Sure."

"All aboard!" came a yell, and Dante felt the floor beneath start to move. The ship was sailing…

***

"Holy ****!" Harker yelled as he stood up to teach. The students giggled. Apparently the students had placed some sort of glue on his chair. "Damn!" There was a hole in his pants. Jesus Christ, why'd this have to happen to me today? Why me?!! Harker quickly put on his jacket. It was a long one, and covered up the hole. He sighed as the students laughed. "Alright. Guess what? It's time for a POP QUIZ!" He laughed to himself softly and begun to put random problems on the board.

***

The day had passed rather slowly for Dante as it had for the rest of the group. It was nighttime now and he had decided to look at the stars. He leaned on the railing of the ship and gazed at the ocean. It was late at night, and some of the sailors were silently sleeping on their watch shifts. Dante noticed them, some snoring quite audibly. He sighed.

"Hey," Kreuz called quietly as he walked up next to Dante.

"What? Hey. What are you doing here? You know nothing about ships! Heck I'm surprised the ship hasn't crashed yet!" Dante hissed.

"Uh…well…" Kruez grinned that foolish grin of his. "Well, uh, that's why the sailors are running the ship. I'm just the backup captain with nothing to do…"

"Yeah, well, your so called sailors are sleeping…" Dante pointed to some of the sailors.

"Pssh... like you said, as long as we don't crash," Kruez said.

"…Kreuz, you're hopeless…" Dante sighed and stared once more at the stars. There was a light breeze and it ruffled Dante's and Kreuz's hair. Dante shrugged. Perhaps everything would be fine…. Then again, was Kreuz's appearance an omen? He wondered. Eh, it was never good to be superstitious…

"Oh, yeah, by the way, message from Anton," Kreuz said. He punched Dante.

            "HEY!"

***

Constantine plopped down on his bed in exhaustion. It had been a long day, a very long long day. The contents of the meeting had been very very repetitive and it had been a trap. Constantine's own manner had not helped much either. He had tripped on the stairs and fallen flat on his face.

Constantine's political opponent Lord Earp Onis had been waiting there, and he had apparently fed the council his "side of the story" and spoken bad words of Constantine. Unfortunately, half of the council listened to Onis. The other half fortunately supported Constantine. Constantine ended up being defended and offended by the council. It was a disaster. There ended up being a huge brawl. He had to stop it because Onis had left secretly. It took Constantine hours to explain what had happened even though to be honest, he had no clue what had happened and what Onis had told them exactly. All he could gather was that it was something about the current policies of the government and his views on them.

Constantine pulled the covers over himself and sighed. His voice was so hoarse that if he spoke no one would be able to make out what he said. Well, he supposed it wasn't as terrible as Harker, who had spent so much time yelling at his students that he had lost the ability to talk… laryngitis… He was better anyway.

Sasha was… somewhere…hopefully not hiding in his closet…and…

Belmont was still in his secret lab playing with something. Constantine swore the guy had insomnia sometimes. Belmont would sleep sometimes for minutes in a day. Constantine, on the other hand, believed in resting sleep though sometimes, he broke his own rule… Bah. It was nighttime and he needed to sleep.

"Anton!" Yoko hollered. It was getting late, and she was very tired. There was an angry customer at the door… or rather a troublemaking customer, who was insisting that he get a good meal for free because he had gotten an insect in his food last time. Yoko had glared at the man and told him that if that was the case, why hadn't he said so last time…It was a huge mess. There weren't many customers in the restaurant at the moment, but those that were there stared at the scene.

Anton headed over quickly. "What is it, Yoko?"

"This man here needs to be escorted out," Yoko replied.

"Sure.." Anton dragged the man out willingly.

Yoko sighed as she watched Anton drag the man out. Such a burden… She looked around and saw the customers nodding their approval. One customer even gave her a thumbs up. Yoko smiled weakly. "Thanks. Ai.." She sat down at a table and sighed again.

"All taken care of," Anton beamed as he walked back in.

Somewhere outside, Yoko could still hear the man defiantly screaming and shouting. She also heard the sound of horses trotting. She looked at Anton. "You got the police? How?"

"Well," Anton grinned. "I kinda just ran into them. Haha."

Yoko laughed nervously. "Ah, uh, good job. Well, Kenshin should be coming in soon. I think my shift's been enough for today…"

"Heh, well, when you shift's over, mine is too."

            "Oh, yeah, great…" Yoko sighed.

"Well, here he is now! Kenshin, the ultimate swordsmaster of the world!"

"Yeah, we know he rocks, Anton…" Yoko rolled her eyes. "Well, I'm off."

            "Same here."

***

Jade stared at the book. "Hmm… let's see…" She rolled her eyes. "If this happens, then that can't…so, what could be used to describe this…" She shrugged. "Heh." Jade Reinhart was an artist and writer. Well, it was her side job. Her actual secret responsibility was as part time private detective. On the surface, though she hated it, she was a part time dancer in the Blackstar Performance Company.

At the moment, Jade had no case to work on. She was researching for her story. "Ah! Found it! Yes!" She grinned and wrote something down in her notebook. She glanced quickly at her watch. "Shoot! I'm going to be late!" She quickly packed up and charged out of the room. She had a performance to make.

***

Dante had fallen asleep on deck. Victor sighed and dragged his body to the cabin. "You're hopeless, Dante." It was another day's ride before they reached Romania…
