Hey guys! This is a story that is really short, but hey, I gave it a shot. Hope you all like it! Please R&R if you want.

~Aurora~

Michael was lonely and that was common. He had no friends and no family. Michael did not even fit in at the orphanage he was sent to. You see, Michael was a mute. He didn't talk to anyone and no one talked to him. He figured he was worthless, and that no one would ever adopt him. Who would want to? No one knew where he came from, not even the orphanage manager. It happened that one day he just showed up at the front door, lost and cold. Michael had no records and no one came forth to claim him, so he just stayed there, doing odd jobs like fixing the things that needed repair. Michael sat there at his little desk and looked at his hands, thinking that life was too cruel, then a hand touched him on his shoulder. He half turned and saw a lady standing there with tears in her lovely blue eyes. "Michael..."she said, then broke into tears. Michael did not know what to do. He'd never comforted anyone before, and he was wondering why this lady was crying. Confused, he offered her a tissue. She accepted the tissue and sat down at the desk next to his. Michael stared at the lady intently. Why did she seem so familiar all of a sudden? He studied her brown curly hair, the soft peach face, and her teary blue eyes. She wasn't tall or skinny, but she wasn't short and fat either. He decided that he had never seen anyone so pretty. "I guess I should introduce myself." She sniffed and dried her eyes, "I'm Anne Dryden, and I've been looking for you for some time."
