Judgment Day

Beautiful skies painted in amber grey…

Shady trees, as the leaves fall on the pathway.

Distant cries of children, as the people pray.

But I keep my distance… I stay away.

Towards the country side,

I see hills were the bodies lay.

Decomposing from last spring,

But the whole town is filled with cowards

So still the bodies may lay.

I have no pity on them;

They chose this path that day.

Judgment Day has come and gone,

I wonder why I am still here…
