She looked up suddenly at the boy standing in front of her. Regaining her consciousness and remembering that she was still at school. Thankful for Damian since he had saved her from the strange stalker, she smiled at him. Thanking him for his quick thinking. Damian just stood there, wondering why he had even told the boy he needed to talk to Mei. He didn't really have anything to say. They just stood there staring at each other, for what seemed like hours though they were only a few mere seconds. Mei was about to ask Damian what he needed to talk to her about. When suddenly, a stream of teenage girls surrounded Damian. Complementing him on his looks. Yelling out words like, hottie, sexy boy, and numerous other comments. Mei just looked at the crowd, and decided that rather than standing there waiting for him to emerge, she would just go to class. So she left the crowd of screaming girls, as she heard the warning bell, three minutes to get to class she thought, as she walked towards her locker.

Damian stood in the hallway, in the middle of the growing crowd of high school girls squealing in awe. He hated it when he attracted attention, it seemed all they cared about was his face, or how muscular he was. Most of the girls he's dated were all interested in his looks, or even worse… his money. Staring blankly at all the girls he finally made his decision, "Sorry ladies, but I'm taken." Smiling slowly at Mei, who was at her locker getting her books. All the screaming girls looked up and followed his gaze towards Mei. They all screamed, the usual disappointed awww.

Mei wondered what they were all awing about, so she looked up at the crowd, and realized they were all looking at her. She looked around in doubt, hoping they were looking at someone else, but the hallway was empty. She stood there, a confused look on her face, why were they staring at her? What did Damian say to them? What is going on? She continued to stare blankly, back at the crowd of girls surrounding Damian. But she just shrugged the thought off and went to class. Leaving the crowd of girls staring after her, they were all thinking, what does she have that we don't? I mean she's never even spoken to other guys before, and now here she is, scoring the hottest guy on the planet.

Damian giggled to himself, and left the crowd. He was wondering the same thing as Mei, why had he said that she was his girlfriend? I mean they had only gone out for coffee, which was a normal thing for people to do. As he walked out the school doors, he couldn't help but picture Mei's sweet smile, and the way she looked, when she got all embarrassed at the staring crowd, staring at her. He thought to himself, cute. Damian thought to himself for a minute, wondering what he was going to do, surely Mei would find out his lie, and would demand an explanation. But what would he say? He didn't even know why he had said that. As he walked down the school steps he noticed there was a guy waiting for him at the bottom.

"Why did you say Mei was your girlfriend?" demanded the Asian boy standing before him. It was Eric; he had a bewildered look on his face, malice filled his eyes. "Hey! I asked you a question!!! Incase you didn't know, I'm going out with Mei, not you!"

Damian simply stared at the boy in front of him. He wondered why he said that; he still didn't have an answer. Thinking to himself, what am I gonna do now? I can't just tell him I made it up, 'cause he'll ask why. Damn. He continued to stare at the boy; he was about a head taller than Eric, "Because she is. I asked her out this morning." He said. Damn! Now why did I say that? Great now I really do have to ask her out. Or this guy will be after my skin. Eric just stood there, a confused look on his face, he had asked Mei out this morning too, but then this guy ahead of him, could have asked her out first thing. Then he continued the conversation. "I guess so, but watch your back, because as soon as you let your guard down… Mei will be mine!" he snapped. With that he walked off, making him very late for class.

As soon as Mei entered the classroom all the girls just stared at her, she was confused. What do they want with me? Could they stop staring! I hate it when people keep staring at me. Urgh! I just wanna jump out the window and leave their gaze. As she continued towards her desk, she noticed her best friend Karen staring at her. Great, she thought, even she's staring at me. To break the ice Mei started, "Umm why are you staring at me like that?"

"Because you never told me you were going out with someone! Let alone a hottie!" exclaimed her best friend.

"Don't tell me you think Eric is hot…. and I already told you that he asked me out…" Mei replied, confused, she had told her best friend this during their class before lunch.

"No no not Eric. I mean that hottie that was just at the school, that Damian guy."  She winked at her best friend. Showing signs that she was proud of her best friend yet disappointed that she hadn't gotten Damian herself.

"What?!?!?! But I just met that guy yesterday, and I barely even know him." Mei glared at her best friend, she wasn't going out with Damian, though as much as she'd like to, she knew she stood no chance with him. His standards were too high. He probably goes for blond chicks that are like stick thin, and show too much skin, she thought. She blinked continually at her best friend, why had Karen said they were going out…

"But he told us earlier, in the crowd, that he had a girlfriend, and then he looked at you. And you were the only person left in the hallway at that time. So we thought it had to be you." Karen continued, "Plus, I noticed him smiling while he was looking at you! I swear I think he was checking you out."

But before Mei could argue the teacher interrupted all the conversations and demanded they start paying attention. "You will have a project due next week! Your task is to create a working model of the…." Mrs. Bryerson continued. Mei had totally zoned out right after those words, she was too busy thinking about Damian. He had told the girls that he was going out with her. Well not really told, more like looked at Mei and they go the idea, but still, same thing. No it had to be a joke! He was too good for her! She remembered the thoughts about how he probably went for skinny blond girls. She shrugged the thought off, five more minutes till class is over. She smiled to herself, she was so glad school was soon over, but she had to find a way to avoid her family. Maybe she could move in with her brother, but remembering what a pigsty her brother's house is, she knew she'd be left to pick up after his mess. Rolling her eyes as she went out the door and headed for her locker.

As soon as she walked out the gigantic brass knobbed doors of her school there in the parking lot was….
