Morning sunshine
Streams onto my face.
The warmth that bleeds out,
I want to embrace.
Because I can't hold onto
The sun for too long.
It's too big of a wish.
And too much of the
Afternoon I miss.
Midnight rain
Drips down my face.
And onto my lips
Providing a sweet taste.
But this rain will stop
And tomorrow the sun
Will leave it dry.
I'll wait again,
But until then,
I'll sit alone and cry.
