X..x..X Chapter 12: Revelations X..x..X

"In other words dear Sean, my brother and I are Vampires." When one hears a line like this, most people react in one, if not all of the following ways…

1. They stare blankly at you and after a moment of uncomfortable silence they go on as if nothing has happened.

2. They burst out laughing thinking you are kidding, and despite your attempts to prove it to them, they add that you should work for a special effects department for sci/fi movies.

3. Or they pause before the truth of the statement sinks in. Then they back away and wish to be anywhere else at that particular moment, and all reason leaves as they scream all bloody hell…

There are many other ways people may react to hearing that statement, but these three underline the major reactions. Well, for our dear Sean, he reacted much like a mix between all three of those options and maybe with some of his own.

Sean sat staring fixedly between Devon and Seraph for about twenty minutes in dead silence. He heard the words, of course, any one would! But he didn't quite understand them… They were… Vampires??! oO something was definitely wrong…

X..x Sean's Point of View x..X

Okay… Did they just say, what I think they said? Ack!! What on earth do they mean… vampires?? Hmm… Well why ask me, ask them oh-bright-one… Darn it all! I hate it when I fight with myself… But not a bad idea to ask them, maybe it's a…a code name perhaps?? I argued with myself with the information I had just been given for about twenty minutes. I suppose I must have looked like a statue to Seraph and Devon. Seraph was sitting there frozen but I could tell that he was expecting me to speak. It was either because of my innate sixth sense about these things, or because he was looking about as nervous as a cat in a bathhouse. Er… We'll just say it was my innate sixth sense okay?

Well, I honestly had no idea what on earth I was going to say! I mean… I've only been here a little over a week and have fallen for this really mysterious and very seriusguy, andnow I get told his big secret thus not making him serious… So…There I was, sitting there wishing I had never heard anything…

X..x End Sean's POV x..X

"Well.. Umm.. Any questions?" Devon added with an uncertain smile, hoping to end the unsettling and unnerving atmosphere that had taken over the room. Sean seemed to jump back a bit, startled from his internal arguments and noticing that the two of them were still there.

"I…Uh.. well…" Sean tried to speak but found a very uneasy feeling in the pit of his stomach. He had never believed in many mythical creatures, mainly because Marcus and David never made an effort to tell him stories of the creatures or anything, so hearing that they were vampires was hard to believe. Suddenly a burst of curiosity caused Sean to remember his voice. "Um.. Could you please describe w-what you mean?"

Devon glanced down at Seraph at the same time as his brother glanced up at him. They didn't know what to say. They honestly had never described what they were to anyone. It was always simple as saying 'Hey guess what I'm a vampire' 'Oh okay…Ahhhh'. Quite depressing really. Other than Norman, most people never took the information as positive news. Hence, why Devon normally killed those he told, or Seraph erased the memories of those he told. But those two options were two things neither one of the brothers wanted to do to Sean. Well.. With the lingering problem of having to describe themselves to Sean, Devon decided to speak up first.

"Well.. Er… We aren't exactly dead or alive.. Um.. We aren't big fans of sun light. Sensitive skin and all, ya know? Um… We do live off of blood. It is the only way to keep us alive. And… Uh… We have fangs??" he added with a small laugh. Seraph rolled his eyes in exasperation. I swear I'm not related to him…

"Sean?" Seraph asked softly noticing Sean was staring down at his lap. He slowly rose his head and stared at Seraph.

"I… I don't believe you…" Sean spoke meekly, searching Seraph's eyes for some kind of joke. But all he could see was the utmost sincerity, just like the rest of him. "B-but things like vampires don't exist!! T-they j-just don't! Right?!" Sean asked semi-hysterically.

"Well… Uh we do." Devon said simply, somewhat confused as to how anyone could not understand what they had said. Sean just shook his head unbelieving and rose from his chair.

"T-this is a-all just some kind of joke isn't it?! I get back from the clutches of a guy who I'm deathly afraid of, then I come back to two people I for some odd reason trusted, and they claim they are blood suckers!!" Sean screeched pointing an accusing finger at both Devon and Seraph.

Devon scowled and his jaw dropped in slight disgust. He had been raised in the Liaris family, born to its privileges and its honor. Not even some of the highest vampires or demons would dare utter a word against them. And here was this little blonde haired human calling him and his brother, and quote "blood suckers"… Needless to say Devon's patience was wearing thin… But while Devon was ready to knock the boy silly, Seraph winced at the panic in Sean's voice. He knew it may not have been the opportune time to tell Sean about him and his brother… But it was bound to come up sooner or later. And in that particular moment, Seraph was wishing it had come up later.

"Listen… Sean… Whether or not you like it, or for that matter, believe it! Seraph and I are vampires!! Not your average blood suckers, as you so plainly put it, either! Now sit back down and listen!!" Devon snapped. Sean's eyes widened then narrowed moving towards the door almost to spite Devon more.

"No you listen Mr. Liaris! I just happened to go through hell just a few hours ago, and then I come here and the only thing you two can do is mock me… Especially…especial-" Before Sean could even finish his statement to Seraph he collapsed from fatigue. Seraph moved quickly to catch the boy in arms, so that no other harm could come to the boy. Seraph picked up Sean bridal style and glanced back over at Devon glaring harshly.

"Devon I will only tell you this once… So make sure to make some kind of mental note, lest you be killed the next time you do something so stupid. As your brother I unconditionally have to love you… But platonic love will not stop me from killing anyone who would dare to hurt my mate! Understood?? IF anyone is to command something of Sean it will be me not you!!" With that Seraph disappeared from the room in a cloud of smoke only to reappear in Seraph's bedroom.

X..x..X

A few hours later Sean woke up in the warm and welcoming bed of Seraph. He briefly forgot about the conversation that had transpired between him and the two brothers earlier on… that is until he was reminded by the sight of Seraph standing by the window. Sean shook his head trying to make himself believe that it was all dream and that Devon was just playing a game or something. But Seraph had too… That's what confused him the most… Even though he hadn't known Seraph very long, he thought he made it clear that Marcus was one thing he feared very much in his life. So why play a horrid joke as to trying to convince him he and his brother were vampires?? Sean would have expected something like that from maybe Devon… But Seraph?!

"Sean… I know you don't believe my brother and I but…" Seraph turned away from the window and faced Sean. "What can I do to prove it to you?" Sean stared at him with wide eyes. How did he know I was awake?? Gah… Sean looked at Seraph even more and noticed that after that final statement Seraph's entire stance and look were full of sorrow. He no longer carried an air of power and contempt, but now one of a lost child in the winter; lost and afraid. Sean looked away and sighed. I just don't get why he would do something like this… I trust him so much! Why is he so caught up on this?! Vampires aren't r-real… Right?

"Seraph…"

"Yes Sean?" Sean carefully looked up at Seraph and shook his head out of frustration.

"Tell me again… What are you?" He asked this with a bit of hope Seraph would burst out laughing and say something like 'gottcha!' or 'oh I got you there!'… Yet neither of those replies came.

"I'm a vampire Sean… A rather important one at that, but that's not the issue!" Seraph added quickly, once again finding himself trying to prove himself to this blonde haired angel of his. "Listen.. Sean, I know you don't believe me. I would have been worried if you had not…" like if another dare to have touched him before me… Seraph growled internally. "But, I need to know now, how can I prove it to you…"

Sean's jaw was hanging while he took in all of what the gorgeous man had just said. Of course he didn't want to come right out and say 'Good gracious man, you're nuts!', but the thought was very tempting. So Sean decided the best thing he could do is to test Seraph and see what exactly being a 'vampire' really meant. Maybe it was code for something… Yea… Something that rich people called themselves!! Er… Then again Sean did just have surgery, so on with the inquisition of Seraph Liaris.

"Well.. Fiinee.. I guess I can think of some things.." Sean added thoughtfully. Seraph nodded and sat on the edge of the bed wondering what he would have to do. He did hope Sean would ask simple things like the reflection, garlic, and other things he could just act out. Seraph honestly didn't want to freak him out by drinking his blood, turning into a 'bat' or any other creature, or doing one of his disappearing acts. He briefly recalled when he was barely ten years old when he first witnessed his father turn into a wolf. Though he never told anyone, it scared him more than anything, and he would never speak in front of animals from that day on fearing it was someone he knew. Now that he thought about it, that was probably why he was never one for gossip…

"Very well… Since you claim to be a 'vampire', turn yourself into a bat or something." Sean said simply, sitting straight up in bed crossing his legs underneath the covers. Seraph mentally slapped himself and cursed fate. Of course it would be that… Damn irony…

"Can't you think of something better? Er how about-"

"Nope… You said anything so I want to see you change into a bat. I'll even take a different animal if you wish. I don't mind." Sean added dryly. He was secretly hoping Seraph would burst out laughing claiming, yet once again, it was only a joke. But Sean would soon see it would not be anything near fantasy…

"Very well Sean… But promise me, you won't forget who it is, that it is me?" Seraph pleaded softly. Sean nodded uncertainly wondering why on earth Seraph was taking this so seriously. But before Sean could think anymore Seraph transformed into a huge black lion with a grey mane and glowing red eyes. Sean quickly forgot all about Seraph's plea and began to back up against the head board trying to escape the vicious looking beast.

Seraph noticed Sean trying to get away and let loose an annoyed growl (not nearly as mean as it sounded). But as soon as Sean got glimpse of the glowing white fangs the lion possessed he screeched and jumped out of bed. Seraph jumped fully on top of the bed watching Sean with an amused look in his ruby eyes. Sean made a mad dash to the room's door but found it was locked. Seraph slowly made his way towards the frantic Sean. But the boy would have none of it and tried to make his way to the bathroom. But before Sean could witness the doors sudden closing of itself with no help, he tripped over his own feet. He barely had time to turn himself over on his back, just to come face to face with a gigantic lion looming over his body.

"Ah… Ah-nice kitty?? Um… HELP!!" As much as Sean struggled to get away from the lion it kept him in place by placing two of it's paws on his shoulders. Seraph dipped his face down to Sean's neck and began to nuzzle him affectionately. Sean's thrashings died down a bit as tears started to burn his eyes. What happened next probably would be the most shocking thing to Sean since seeing a huge black lion on Seraph's bed.

"And I thought you were the kitten Sean…" Seraph's voice purred out. Sean even felt the lion's throat vibrate as the words passed out. Seraph then began to lick Sean's ear and neck, lightly nipping but never to hurt him. After a while of this Sean finally found his voice, tears streaming down his face.

"S-Searph?" he squeaked. Seraph immediately stopped his licking and gave Sean's throat one lass nuzzle then moved so he was staring face to face with Sean.

"Yes Sean?" Sean was shocked to see that the mouth did not move one muscle. It was almost as if Seraph were inside the lion. Seraph removed his paws from Sean's shoulders and moved them to either side of Sean's face. Sean carefully reached up and reluctantly began to touch Seraph's face. Seraph leaned into the touch purring loudly. Sean's tears continued to pour down his face as he began to realize that… that Searph had been telling the truth. He carefully removed his hands and shook his head sobbing quietly.

"P-please tell m-me it isn't t-true… S-Searph?" Sean asked looking deep into the ruby eyes of the lion. One of the hardest things for humans is accepting that which does not come easy to hear. If we don't wish to hear something, often times we ignore it by being oblivious or ignorant. But when revelation comes it can be a very painful and hard thing to understand. Sean's body trembled at the sight of the creature but shivered in comfort from the voice of Seraph. While his eyes saw one thing, his heart saw another. Seraph moved his face closer to Sean's and as he did he transformed into his regular body kissing Sean's cheek lightly.

"I'm afraid so Sean…" Sean immediately grabbed Seraph tightly around the neck and sobbed into his shoulder. Seraph picked himself and Sean off the ground and carried the boy over to the bed. He sat down and cradled the boy to his chest sighing heavily. "Listen Sean… I know it's hard to understand, and you probably still don't… But if you don't want to be around me and my brother anymore…then..then I'll- I'll leave you be… I'm so sorry Sean…" Seraph said hoarsely fighting back the bloody tears that were ready to fall. But Sean wasn't the only one who was in for a surprise that night…

"W-what??" Sean asked breathlessly. Looking up at Seraph with his emerald eyes. "W-why are you s-sorry??" Sean looked down for a moment sniffling, while Seraph cocked his head to the side, confused beyond belief. "I-I'm the one who gave that fit with your brother… a-and I w-wouldn't listen to you two… And I basically called you.. You a l-l-liar!!!" Sean sobbed out clinging to Seraph's chest, forcefully enough to knock both of them back on the bed. While Seraph tried to work out what exactly had transpired and what was with Sean's mood swings, Sean continued to cry heavily into Seraph chest asking him in between sobs to forgive him. After about the fourth tear filled apology Seraph wrapped one of his arms around Sean possessively, holding him tight so that he would never lose him.

"Shhh…. Sean… Calm down… You don't have to be sorry angel!" Seraph added comfortingly. "I didn't want you to find out this way… But after Marcus kidnapped you I decided that I wanted to take you back to live with me at my old family's estate in England. And then when I found out you were actually safe, but in reality sick I decided I would still tell you… Then Devon went all idiotic and I'm sorry he was mean to you Sean. He's just extremely proud of the whole family 'vampire' thing…" Sean had stopped crying and was snuggling into Seraph's chest.

"So you a-aren't mad at me?" Seraph rolled over so that they were both lying on their sides and they were facing each other.

"Of course not… How could I ever be with someone as sweet-" a kiss. "-and innocent-" another kiss. "-and adorable as you?"

By now Sean was blown away by the hot kisses left on his face that he was in a dream like state unable to form coherent words or thoughts. Seraph gave a like laugh moving his hand to wipe the tears from Sean's face.

"You know… You're too pretty to cry…" Seraph spoke softly gazing into Sean's emerald eyes. Sean blushed furiously finally coming to his senses.

"I w-wouldn't say I'm p-pretty…" Sean stated softly.

"Well I say you are…" Seraph growled out, claiming Sean's lips in his own totally forgetting about his eyes. Sean barely had time to react to the kiss before Seraph's tongue was forcing its way into his mouth. Sean giggled slightly but gasped when he noticed Seraph's eyes glowing deep red. Seraph noticed Sean's startled look and broke the kiss.

"What's the m-matter Sean?" Seraph asked breathlessly forcing himself to not attack the boy's sweet mouth again. Sean was beyond shock and was now VERY curious. So he some how managed to over power the lust-filled-blood-craved vampire to where Sean was straddling Seraph's chest. He quickly placed both of his hands on either side of Seraph's face and he moved his face right next to Seraph's. Seraph's hopes that his angel had finally gotten the courage and urgency to become more dominate were quickly shattered when Sean began to inspect his eyes. As Sean moved his hands so that his fingers had better access to Seraph's left eye lids to hold them open, Seraph was trying to figure out what in the world the boy was doing! What's gotten into him?!?

"Er… Sean? Angel?? Kitten? Um… As much as I love having you straddling me, what are you doing oO??" Seraph mumbled into Sean's shirt collar that was currently covering his mouth.

"Hmmm… Yea just a sec…" Sean replied absent mindedly putting one of his eyes directly over Seraph's left eye trying to figure out where the red light was coming from. Seraph was getting a bit annoyed and quickly moved so that he was sitting up and Sean fell back into his lap. He quickly moved his hands back up to Seraph's eyes, which never made their journey because Seraph quickly grabbed both arms in his one hand.

"Sean what are you doing?? And why do you have a sudden fascination with my eyes??" Seraph asked trying to figure out what possessed the boy to do a sudden eye inspection.

"Well… They were glowing, and I think that's something to look into." Sean stated simply trying to figure out the glowing. Seraph finally noticed what his eyes were doing and quickly made them stop only to earn a pout from Sean. "Aw what happened?"

"It's uh… One of those perks of being a vampire I guess." Seraph added a bit childishly. Sean rolled his eyes and giggled a bit before snuggling into Seraph's chest.

"So I'm in love with a vampire with glowing eyes, and likes to turn into a lion to scare his poor mortal lover… Of course!" Sean said sighing a little. Seraph shook his head and kissed the top of Sean head, holding him closer.

"How's your stomach feeling anyways? Do you need any medicine?" Sean thought for a moment.

"Well… I'm pretty sure the past hour hasn't been good for it, but right now all feels fine. But, I have a prescription I need to get filled." He reached into his jeans' pocket and pulled out a doctor's citation.

"My poor kitten…" Seraph stated looking at the pills that Sean needed. No wonder he doesn't feel much. No one would if they were on drugs like these… Seraph had spent a couple years studying medicine with his cousin Max. It sort of bored Seraph but his cousin was smitten with the study. Manly because if he became a doctor he would have all the free blood he could get. He was actually Seraph's blood source. Every two months Max would ship Seraph a huge truck load of blood. He would only send that much because he knew Seraph was a picky eater at times and would throw out half of it anyways.

"It's okay.. I'm back with you now… So, what about this moving business? Are we really??" Sean asked turning to face Seraph.

"Yes I believe it would do you some good. We won't stay long I just need to take care of something there and then we can go wherever you would like!" Sean smiled and kissed Seraph and the lips.

"That's so exciting! I can't say I've been to very many places… This will be fantastic!! You, me, Norman, Devon, everyone who works here! OH!! What about Larissa and Kiki?" Seraph thought for a moment, briefly forgetting who those two women were.

"Oh yea… Hm… Well I suppose I'll buy them a house of their own and pay it off. I don't believe life as a mail order bride is quite glamorous. Besides I was only thinking of taking you and Norman with me, maybe Ralf but I'm not sure…" Sean thought for a moment and sighed a bit sadly.

"But won't everyone miss you Seraph?"

"To tell the truth, until you came here no one other than Ralf and Norman ever saw me. Cook did on occasion, which I dare say scared me like no other…" Seraph mentally winced. Cook, though rarely seen was a sight to behold, to say the least. "You know… I bet she would do bodily damage if I don't take her… Best we leave sooner than later. Don't you think?" Seraph asked thinking of what an enraged Cook would be like. Going over it in his mind, he figured it would involve lots of hot liquids 'accidentally' being thrown at him, sharp pointy objects also being 'accidentally' thrown at him, and of course shrill screams of anger coming for the woman in question… Oh man that voice… Eek…

"Well, I really like Ralf though!" Sean whined not wanting to leave him behind. Seraph quickly snapped out of his internal thoughts of Cook and looked at the pouting boy in lap, and groaned.

"Sean don't pout…"

"Why?? And I'm not…" Sean stated haughtily, pouting even more. "Besides why shouldn't I?"

"Because it's a major turn on for me…" Seraph purer, licking the side of Sean's neck.

"EEEK!! Seraph!!" Sean literally jumped in place about five feet from the random act of lust from Seraph. "And why is me pouting a turn on??" Sean asked a bit curious. Seraph stopped his licking and moved his mouth to right next to Sean's ear.

"Because angel, you seem so innocent… And helpless… All the more easier for me to dominate you…" Seraph's hot breath on his neck and ear made Sean shiver all over, and shudder even more when the words sunk in. Sean quickly looked at Seraph with an amused smirk on his face.

"That whole scene reminds me so much of Little Red Riding Hood. You know that?" Sean giggled. Seraph quickly lightened up and held Sean closer to him enjoying the feel of the boy's own warmth.

"God I love you Sean…" Seraph breathed. He could barely believe that he was finally saying those words to someone and believing every word he spoke... Never had he uttered those words to anyone other than his parents and he even stopped saying to his father and Devon when he was ten actually.

"I l-love you too…" Sean whispered back meekly. He had admired many people in his life and had had the misfortune of thinking he was in love several times, and each one ended with his heart being broken. Sean wanted this to continue forever and ever…

"Hey Sean?" Seraph asked, after a moment of silence.

"Hmm?"

"Do you like snow?"

"Er…" Sean had to think a moment. Marcus had punished Sean before, because he went out playing in the snow when he wasn't suppose to, but the white stuff had always fascinated him. It looked so pretty!! "Well, I guess so! It's always so pretty…"

"Hmm… Well why don't you look outside." Seraph said kissing the top of Sean's head and letting the boy up.

"Um okay…" Sean slowly got up and moved over to the large window. Seraph casually propped himself up on his elbows and smiled at the boy. Sean slowly padded over to large window that was currently covered by the blood red drapes. As Sean searched for the tassel that would open it, Seraph shook his head and laughed slightly causing Sean to turn around and stare at Seraph.

"What?"

"Sean, Sean, Sean… If you need something you know you could just ask?" Seraph replied smoothly a smirk gracing his features.

"What are you talking about Seraph?" Sean asked, slightly annoyed and confused as to what Seraph was getting at.

"The drapes?" At that Sean glanced back over his shoulder and noticed the drapes were moving on their own. Before Sean could dwell on the drapes his gaze was stuck on the sight of snow falling outside of the window. But isn't it still Fall? He moved closer just to see that the entire backyard of Seraph's estate was covered in the white stuff, making it look like a fairy tale. Without even hearing the vampire, Seraph snaked his arms around the Sean's waist holding him close.

"So what do you think? Does it please you Sean?" Seraph asked kissing the boy's neck wondering all the while what it would be like to taste the angelic boy's blood. Sean was at a loss for words. Never had he experienced something like this. The sensuality of Seraph and the gorgeous view of Seraph's land was overwhelming Sean. But before he was willing to let Seraph know this, he decided to become more daring.

"You know… I think you telling me you're a vampire made you a bit cocky Mr. Liaris." Sean added sharply, grinning up at the man.

Seraph emitted a low growl before stating, "I wouldn't be smart with me young villager…"

"Oh??" Sean said with a slight giggle slipping out of Seraph's arms and moving away from the man, only to have him disappear then reappear behind him.

"Sorry, but no escape for you dear kitten…" Seraph's words were hot against Sean's neck causing him to shudder in pleasure, but didn't stop him from playing along.

"Well, we'll just have to see about that!" Sean said turning around the face Seraph and purposefully leaning up to nuzzle the man's neck, which in turn caused Seraph to lessen the hold on the boy. As soon as Sean was sure Seraph was to caught up in his actions he slipped out of Seraph's hold and bolted out the door. Seraph rolled his eyes and decided to chase after the boy.

"You can run Sean but you can't hide from me…" Seraph bellowed grinning, suddenly being turned on by the idea. But almost as if his lust had a switch, his once stirring emotions disappeared at a sudden realization… Father!

"SEAN WAIT!" Seraph roared, Sean stopped before entering the elevator and was about to turn back before Seraph's arms encircled him, and before he knew it he was downstairs standing in front of a man looking very much like Devon.

"Do you need something father? I was coming to you…" Seraph growled still upset by his father's orders earlier. Xavier stared blankly at his son while the other one, Devon, came waltzing in the room eating what looked to be like a huge sandwich.

"You know Seraph, this mortal food is won-AH hello father!!" Devon exclaimed hiding the food behind him and smiling sheepishly at his father, who in return raised an eyebrow at his son.

"Hello to both of you… Seraph is this the boy?" Xavier asked calmly looking Sean up and down causing Sean to lean further into Seraph's hold. So this is Seraph's and Devon's father?

End Chapter 12: Revelations

A/N- sooo how was that?? I hope you enjoyed it, but now it is time to explain some interesting tid bits in this chappie okay??

Xan- For starters, the fact that Seraph, though presumed to be stoic like, all of sudden had a major attitude change. Which (cough) I believe is kind of cocky.

Irony- Speak for yourself! (smirks) But another thing would be the lack of sex! Oh and lovely reviewer Jen, I'm glad we are thinking on the same page as one another ; ) at least someone understand me bwahaha!

Linx- (sweatdrops) Irony! (clears throat) What Irony was meaning to say was tha there was a sudden attitude change in Sean! Well… Okay, there were MANY attitude changes of Sean.

Irony- (glomps Linx) You are soooo smart!!

Xan- Oh dear Lord… Irony leave him alone! (wacks him)

Staris- oO well.. Anyways, as you can see there are some things going on in this chapter that I've yet to explain… And I'm sure it was all very confusing. OH but before I move on, I wanted to clarify the whole anime changing trick that Seraph did. Okay, I had him change into a black lion partly because it's an ode to Scar in The Lion King which sadly I don't own! But I loved his main and then got to thinking… Is there such a thing as a black lion? Well why the heck not! So thus Seraph turned into a black lion. But lo and behold our lovely bishie can turn into other animals as well ; ) you just gotta stay tuned and check it out!!

Seraph-… bishie oO?

Staris- (smiles) So see you next time! Please review!!!
