Fallen

You feel so cold,
Falling from the sky.
You look to the clouds above
And smile your goodbye.
You feel the wind rush past you,
Expressing sad farewell.
Come morning all the clouds will cry,
Wishing you never fell.

Fallen Angels plummeting
From their Heaven sweet.
Gleaming wings fading,
Feathers swirling 'round their feet.
And in the Palaces of the sky
They kneel and bow their heads,
Allowing tarnished Halos
To drop upon children's beds.

The Angels had never descended,
From Silver Mansions above.
They flew upon their errands
Serving a God of Love.
But now the Angels are drowning
In tears that trickle from His eyes.
Now they're falling from Heaven,
Plunging through yielding skies.

Fallen Angels plummeting
From their Heaven sweet.
Gleaming wings fading,
Feathers swirling 'round their feet.
And in the Palaces of the sky
They kneel and bow their heads,
Allowing tarnished Halos
To drop upon children's beds.
