You gave me the bricks and cement to build this wall
A wall that supported my weight and get me alive
You were there to cover me when I needed to be invisible
I could always hide behind my Wonderwall
When things got tough and my tears weren't ready to be announced
You never moved when I threw myself against you
Or looked away when I screamed out in pain
Instead, you helped me build a wall around it
You lifted me up so I could reach places I couldn't get to by myself
But with time and distance, walls tend to break
And cement isn't strong enough to hold together the weak spots
Tears weaken the glue and everything falls apart
My shelter, my guidance, my everything
My Wonderwall has finally cracked
