Namekagon Night

Peering through the grasses.
My body hidden well.
I look upon the waters
In the light of the starlit morn.

Tendrils of mist
Tickling my toes.
Scents of the morning
Teasing my nose.

Cattails and marsh grass
Swaying in the breeze.
Point to the current.
The waters ripple softly.

Afloat on my back.
Look up at the stars.
The waters feel warm
At this early hour.

Listen to the river.
It will tell you its tale.
Its long winding journey.
And its strange way of life.

The twinkling lights.
The things we call stars.
Reflected on the water.
This Namekagon Night.
