My Knight In Shining Armor

Gazing up at the sky knowingly,
I can't help not thinking about you,
And how it never was,
You were all I ever wanted,
A shoulder to cry on,
And someone who would listen,
You were my knight in shining armor,
But one night dashed my dreams,
Though I suppose it was time to go our seperate ways.

The stars and moon don't peek in my window anymore,
The man in the moon don't talk to me anymore,
My knight in shining armor is rusted out,
Just thinking about your face sends chills up my spine,
My shyness disappears,
But you will never be my knight again.

I wish you were here,
Knowing my pain and my hurt,
Helping me along my way to freedom,
And pulling me out of this rut,
But you'll never know what all this means,
Because you're lost as to why I turn to you,
Now, my knight is gone,
And my life is no longer stable,
Now that my knight in shining armor is gone.

The stars and moon don't peek in my window anymore,
The man in the moon don't talk to me anymore,
My knight in shining armor is rusted out,
Just thinking about your face sends chills up my spine,
My shyness disappears,
But you will never be my knight again.

Will you ever return to me?
Will you listen to me again?
Can you come down from the stars?
Should I get over you?
Maybe I'm just caught up in myself.

The stars and moon don't shine in my window anymore,
The man in the moon don't talk to me anymore,
My knight in shining armor is rusted out,
Just thinking about your face sends chills up my spine,
My shyness disappears,
But you will never be my knight again.

Say bye-bye to that knight,
He's all rusted out,
And sooner or later,
My new knight in shining armor will come.
