Why do they stare at me so
Like one of the guilty
For do they not know
All the pain and fatality
Deceit and sorrow
That I've been through?

Their eyes they don't comprehend
Not past the mists
Of vague haziness that fails to rend
Of immorality that still exists

The veil of darkness that hides
The murky depths that lie
As they gaze into my eyes
They do not see the truth inside

But does their motto not say
Guilty until proven
Innocent?
