Just Remember

Every tomorrow,
I get lonely in this solitude,
All I can do is remember,
All the good times and the bad,
All the times when we cried,
And all the times inbetween,
Though not all my memories return to me,
Most of them can bring me out of my hole.

Just close your eyes and remember when,
We were young, and friends were not pretend,
All that we went through,
And all that I told you,
You were always there, not just a cold face,
And you saved me from my life,
What more can I ask for,
Than that of friends like you.

Every once in a while,
I break down and cry, cuz' I miss you so much,
And you're never around when I need you again and again,
I've turned to my poetry more and more,
Never letting up on the drama or feelings,
But none of you read these,
And now, more than ever, I need you,
So tell me, are we still the friends we were ment to be,
The friends we will always remember,
Just to make it through,
Or will it become more?

Just close your eyes and remember when,
We were young, and friends were not pretend,
All that we went through,
And all that I told you,
You were always there, not just a cold face,
And you saved me from my life,
What more can I ask for,
Than that of friends like you.

I am bleesed with all these friends,
If one can't listen, another will,
You say "That's what friends are for,"
But to me it's so much more,
Between all, you know my secrets, big and little,
And I trust you with my life.

Just close your eyes and remember when,
We were young, and friends were not pretend,
All that we went through,
And all that I told you,
You were always there, not just a cold face,
And you saved me from my life,
What more can I ask for,
Than that of friends like you.

That's what friends are for,
So just remember,
Just remember.
