Well, I'm back from Japan and I had a blast. I miss it horribly, though.
I'm actually home sick for a place that isn't my home. Strange, hm? But,
really.it's the most beautiful, interesting, cultured, and entertaining
place I have ever been. I strongly suggest visiting Tokyo, Chigasaki, and
Yokohama before dying. If you do, you'll die happy. Okies, back to the
story. While in Japan, I stayed up by the balcony and started thinking
about writing this book based on Peter Pan. It is much more sexual, which
is always good. Sex sells, don't ya know. I know I'd buy a book and read
it for the sex. But, I'm a shallow person. :P Please read on even if I've
frightened you, the story is worth it, I promise.
My Forever: Chapter One
Shadows in the Sky:
The morning went by quickly, but the afternoon vanished even quicker. Now, the night was taking its rightful place. The stars echoed throughout the dusty indigo sky and the delightful moon sung light for all. It rushed past my shut window, the pretty pearl light decorating the wooden floors. Everything was quiet except for the soft breathing of my restless figure. I was alone in my room tonight. Mother and Father had punished me many a time in the same way; by separating me from my brothers. Although Alexis and Roman, my younger brothers, were boys and I a girl, I found it quite fine to share a room with them. At one time, so had my parents.
Some rainy days, my brothers and I would play a game we called 'pirates'. I was always the captain, with a cloth from the cub board over one eyes, and a sword made out of old ply wood in my hand. The hero of the game, Jinx, was played by none other then the eldest brother, Alexis. He played the part well, putting in witty remarks here and there, once he knew he would defeat me. Roman, a usually shy boy, became the captains' lackey, Sirius. Roman described him as roughly handsome, evil, but with a touch of romance. At night, when all were fast asleep, I dreamt of this particular character. He would be much more sadistic than romantic. And in this dream, we'd play a dangerous game, where I would lose and be forced to give up my most precious possession.
But now I lay all alone in the bed for a crime I had committed by accident. I forgot to grow up somewhere in the past years. True, my body had grown up, my figure became an hourglass, my chin strong, the cheek bones high like my mothers, and my lips ready for kissing, but my mind was a Childs. My father in particular, claimed I was actually getting younger with each passing birthday. He wondered why my brothers were still so very entertaining and even brought up the idea of incest. The idea repulsed me so; I ran out of patience and defended myself. I shouted with such fierceness that mother was forced to agree to fathers' punishment. I ended up in the dreadful room, locked away, while my brothers were in another room.
The bed nearly swallowed me. It kept me from sleeping. While my brothers slept soundly, and my mother and father drank away their problems at another one of their usual evening outings, I was wide awake. I thought of a future all grown up. Working like my father did, in a reality that was utterly depressing. Truly, all I wished for was the ability to stay 16 forever. But nothing could possibly halt the inevitable- I would grow up, old and finally, I'd grow tired and die. In my eyes, it all seemed like a pointless journey.
And on I went with these gruesome thoughts and on I would've gone if it weren't for a sudden 'click' I heard coming from the other end of the square room. It wasn't long until I realized that it was coming from my window. My poor heart was beating so hard, that the blood barely sped up enough to enter another vein, before another crowd came crashing after it. Adrenaline kept my heart going, however, and my life was preserved. My eyes grew wide, my fingers curled tightly around the thin blankets, my breathing unsteady. Still, I managed enough courage to slide from my covers and off of the bed. The floor groaned when my bare feet hit it and continued to creak with every step I took. Ahead of me I noticed that the window had been opened, inhaling cool air, which replaced the muggy air once locked inside. I held my breath as I inched ever closer to the balcony glass. I stopped once my fingers brushed the seat below the window. My palms were wet with sweat, while my mouth had become completely dry. But, my fear vanished when I peered out at the dark city, nothing was there. I shook my head and laughed. In the back of my mind, blackness remained. I wondered what had managed to unlatch my window. The lock was inside, not outside. Besides, the floor my bedroom was on was high above the grass below. No one could climb that high? I swore I had locked it right before bed; in fact, my father had made sure of it. I brushed the thoughts away and wandered back to my bed, but instead of it being empty, as I had left it, a small girl sat on the edge. Her slender legs were crossed, with a dark, yet playful grin on her opal lips. Although she had human-like features, I knew she was definitely not human. Her skin was so white, that I swore it must be transparent. Her blue veins, tangled at her throat, could be seen pulsing even in the darkness. The Creatures' hair was thin, and wild like the wind had battled her. But the thing that caught my eye was the colour. It was green like the fresh spring grass. Oh, and who could miss her pointed ears. So sharp, they could leave a scar. She noticed my starring and frowned. Her eyes swirled with colour until too many colours turned them black. I took several steps back, my breathing slowed until it no longer existed.
"Cree ena kyo, Human." She spat the mangled words at me. I looked at her blankly for a while, trying to decipher the sentence. She waved eerily long fingers my way and shook her head.
"Twilight, she doesn't understand Pixie, back off the poor stupid girl" another voice broke the silence.
The girl, I assumed he was talking to, was the pixie-speaking one. I glanced around to find the owner of the voice. Instead of a body made of flesh, I caught a glimpse of a shadow. It spread across the wall and over the Pixies' body. She smiled and nodded as if taking orders.
"Stupid? Oh, show yourself and we'll see who's stupid." I shouted hands firmly against my chest.
Laughter vibrated beneath my feet, and once again I took steps back. The pixie stood slowly, until she no longer touched the ground. She was floating at least an inch off of it. It was only when the moon hit her figure, when I noticed a set of wings. They glimmered like jewels. They were so very captivating that I reached out to touch them, but before I could feel the delicate gift, she swiped a hand at my own. Her eyes became yellow, orange, and then a vibrant red. She barred a set of fangs. I wobbled back, until I fell to the floor with a loud 'thump'. Her expression of hatred faded and in its place stood a rather eerie sense of satisfaction. I crawled until I sat under the window. It slammed shut behind me and I cried out at the sudden sound. A giggle rolled off of the girls' lips like thick syrup. I gave her a threatening glare, before pushing away a piece of tangled charcoal hair from my eyes.
And there I sat, until the shadow that had hidden the strange pixie once before, began to swarm around me like a billion hungry insects. I glanced around, unsure of the strange wasps. I felt my skin prick. At first I thought it was a nasty shiver, crawling up my spine and along my limbs, but I realized how wrong I was. Pain shot up my arm. It wasn't a pain I had felt before. My insides were churning, my heart stopped, my breathing disappeared, I became paralyzed. It felt like forever went by, before the pain died and became a mild irritating sting. Finally, it vanished and the shadows decorated the floor. The shadows crowded together, lifting away from the floor. They had created something; a human boy. Each piece mounted one another, until colours began to appear. If I squinted, I could catch the edge of a nose, eyes of untainted sea-blue and rather kissable plump lips. My delicate fingers traced the where the entities had traveled. They reached the apparition's feet. My index finger slid right through him and back to the cool floor. A gasp escaped my lips and I shrunk back to my wall. It was the only thing that was solid, real. Again, laughter echoed throughout the room. It was coming from the ghost made of black.
