The Unicorn
Unicorn
Unexpected as the summer storm
And rages like it too.
Fury that puts even thunder to shame,
And battles with whirlwind force.

Rears as proud as the curling waves,
With mane like the tumbling foam.

Voice as sweet as midnight's song,
Gentle as the summer breeze.
Leaves and lingers like lovers' kiss,
with reluctance as her path.

Horn that spirals like the swirling sea,
Source of magic,
Source of pride,
Golden as the blazing sun.

Eyes that glimmer like the winking stars
With greater depths than the seven seas,
Drowning one in it's warmth.

Silver as the morning mist,
Swifter than lightning's thought,
Soars through the sky like air itself.
