The Child Of Deceit

It pains me

That the cold wind would aggravate the silence

That once was laughter

Whenever our souls would cross

In random space.

It pains me

That your eyes would not meet mine

It pains me

That you always want a painful distance

To maim our tryst.

It pains me

That I lost in your game

And now paying the price

Of indifference

And unwanted longing.

You are scared

You really spite me now

It wasn't worth anything in the first place

It pains me

That I know I'd be

Laughed at in the face

By these groundless self-made assumptions

Just like before.

Who could have guessed what was

Behind that beautiful face?

Why do you keep that fake smile?
