You speak Malice to me
Of useless prayers
But even when we are lost in Darkness
Light yet exists

There are times
When my soul walks blindfolded
When no voice answers back when I call out
When my prayers spiral down into nothingness
When Bitterness howls at me "Where is your Light?"
But I steady myself with Faith
And when the blindfold falls away

All is well again
All is as it has always been

For even when we are lost in Darkness
Light yet exists

So if you wish take your voice
And make it like a knife in your hand
And make your demands of the Light
Then embrace your precious Darkness
Kiss its lips, swarming with flies
Its tongue writhing with maggots
With a touch like rotting flesh
And breath like Life itself decaying
Embrace your lover then if you wish
But know it for what it is
And may you be bathed in Light again one day
To bear witness to all that you could have had

Darkness can makes us stronger
Can be a forge for our souls
But the Light lets us Live

For even when we are lost in Darkness
Even when we have forgotten the Sun
Light yet exists
