Silence Speaks
~
Quiet rustles through leaves,
entangling the wind in its own shadow
as it falls about me,
silent.
~
Quiet rustles through leaves,
entangling the wind in its own shadow
as it falls about me,
silent.
I walk alone the brick-shod path
myself within a world of them
and left to muse over
silence.
The rushing calm sings,
a lullabye to night or
the sun's creed- brightly,
silent.
Light shimmers at my feet,
but I am left in shadow
and my heart cries
silence.
How quiet a day to echo,
to call out my soul's cry
ringing through the quiet,
speaks.
