He Is Risen

A fallen angel with twisted wings,
She is broken and cannot fly.

A star shattered into fragments,
Each piece now dull and dirty.

A stolen kiss on bleeding lips,
Taken from one who once was innocent.

A torn up heart and tattered soul,
Forever ruined by a cruel betrayal.

A country in ruins, it's people homeless,
Attacked by men who claim it's all for peace.

A crying child, lost and alone,
Nowhere to turn to for comfort.

An empty tomb, a saviour risen,
A chance to heal our world again.
