Softly, silently,
Slipping from the sky
Pure white, angelic white
The color of innocence.
I remember so many days
Of watching the quiet snowfall
Curled up with a cup of cocoa
From the time I was very small.
That time has slipped away
Softly and silently as I've grown older
Instead of seeing the white pure snow
I see the brown slush in the street.
So long ago, so much has changed
I'm a different person now
But sometimes I watch the snow
And relive who I was long ago.
