"Are You Okay"

She wishes you'd
Just leave her
Alone stop asking
Her questions

Which you know
She can't answer
Stop telling her
Lies that everything's fine

You say "are you okay"
She wonders do you know
Have you been checking?
While she's a sleep

Or did you see
Her pull up her
Sleeve yesterday
When she was washing her hands

Do you know that
She knows you know
Or is she just
Being paranoid about your question

It's so small no one
Would notice, she gives
Back these small
Shallow answers if there is such a thing

Your question so small
And nice just looking
To see if she's alright
But she asks herself

Do you know that
She knows you know
Or is she just
Being paranoid about your question

Have you seen her tell
Tale scars, when she
Washes her hands or
Are you just guessing?

From the blood in
The bathroom and
The pain on her face
Which she can't hide

But she says, "yes I'm fine"
To your little question
But she's thinking are you wanting
A deeper answer

But don't you
See these questions
Make her crave
Her blade even more

So don't ask
Just be the doting
Parents that you
Are and she'll be fine

She may cut
But don't you
Realize this is her
Way of dealing with life

A/N.. Poem about a very special friend who
I love a lot and hope she doesn't go to far.
