Twixt the dawn and th' moon                      by tori

words hummed in our minds

carefully spun distant dreams of memories

i studied the grey wash of cement

trying to craft words of the rawness aching my mind

they never rang quite right

over the steady pat of steps

my memories huddled away

'stead of crawling under the ivy to the burning daylight

didn't know what I'd meet there

hoping to reach those paths

with the step of your feet sounding near

I dream for warmth

laughter paining my cheek

mimosa , white rose , unnamed. Curling wisps of air

without ends

the stranged twilight between day and dark

dark all silver and blue

I spoke once, to an ivory fern I thought human

to meet you, barefoot in the land of spirits
